I'm surprised Deeping haven't applied. I guessed from their signings and form that they would be trying to go up. I know it's prudent behaviour but the idea of going through a season like they're having without any chance of promotion at the end of it is just alien to me. :?

Tbh, the behaviour of lots of clubs at this level puzzles me, all that money thrown at Sileby for one season, only for everyone to leave at the end of the season and leave them vulnerable in the Premier, all that money (well I assume there was a lot of money?) thrown at Long Buckby in that season a few years ago, only for them to be refused promotion and lose the whole squad to go back to mid table mediocrity again and the same for Holbeach last year, what is the point of being ambitious and making big signings if its only for one lone glorious season in decades and not long term?
