I spoke to Parky after the game and he said the ball just bounced up awkwardly and took him by surprise.

Agreed, no mention of the figure on twitter and I thought it was given out as 389 over the PA .
Official site says 309 and I heard someone say 309 at the game as well, though maybe worth a recount?

Edit: Ok it says 390 now, that sounds about right to me.

Well if that's the case then fair enough, mistakes happen, it just appeared completely bizarre and unnecessary from the other end.

Mal's pics added to the match report, and the stats on the profile pages and on the main stats page are also updated.

Not a good night but IMO we deserved to get away with a draw, Deeping Pen was a stone waller but then so was the flattening of Faz a few mins earlier. Think we had a few out there carrying knocks and it was one game to many, Matt was struggling from the start and never got going, all the kicks Joe H had taken against Holbeach, Pagnell & Clogenhoe looked to have caught up with him, and to be honest nobody had a game they will want to remember. Need a response on Sat at Rovers, 3 pts and a good performance.

what a contrast to Saturdays game v Holbeach in respect to "fair play". Not a bad foul in the game and virtually no whingeing.

Maybe a pact was made by Holbeach to soften us up ready for their neighbours.!!

Agreed with everything on here, not the best game at all, in fact quite slow at times...just seemed to lack a sparkle, could of done with dunks ariel threat, probably would of won the game. But thought a draw would of been evens. But no complaint from me regarding the penalty... One of their guys made me chuckle actually, running 3/4s of the field shouting yyyyyyeeeeeessss, inside, yyyyyeeeeesssssssssssss only to receive the ball and completely fluff it at the end

Just a shame that end was marred by another beer cup landing on the pitch. Now I hate the use of the c word...probably a lot of people do. And I'm sure I heard their keeper shout it towards the crowd at the end. But I also heard it shouted from the terrace during the match. Don't give what you can't take springs to mind

Let's hope for a more positive response Saturday...

I was standing in that end, I think a couple of lads might have just had a little too much to drink - I got the impression they knew Deeping's keeper, but throwing stuff at a player just isn't on. That particular word was used pretty much non-stop along with lots of other colourful language - hope there's not a repeat of that next Tuesday.

A touch harsh IMO. Let's not forget that if it wasn't for a team spending an obscene amount of money we would actually be top despite not genuinely playing well on a regular basis since the start of the season.
