Think Scott tried to answer your question on Sat. IMO he will become a excellent signing, big, strong more than happy to put himself about and work hard. Sure nobody missed the chasing back & putting in
a tackle in our half. Not a bad opening 30 mins for the Club & by comments he's made on SM sounds like he's delighted with his move & quite enjoyed his first appearance. As a bonus if a decent % of his friends & well wishers start coming to games will add a few to our attendances.

Do you know if he made many appearances for Barton Rovers?

The Barton Rovers thing must have either been last season or duel Registration this season, as his 18 goals for Kempston came in 30 games and he was on the bench for them 1st game of the season in Aug. Did hear someone say he was at Barton at start of season and only went back to Kempston in Nov, but don`t think he could have managed 30 games between Nov and March so that may have been inaccurate. No mention of him in this seasons Barton players list, and the are some on there who have now moved on so assume it`s accurate. Sure as soon as Trek reads this he will be on the case and will furnish with all required information.
I don`t do all the SM stuff only to read comments by others with the exception of this forum, but found his Facebook via Kempston Rovers, can`t imagine him not being on Twitter though.
Sorry not much help, though sure it won`t be long till he gets a MOTM and DC will ask all the required questions.

The only reference I could find him playing for Barton Rovers, when I looked on Saturday morning, was a season or so back when made a few appearances mostly from the bench. However, I would expect you being closer to the 'fountain head' to have a far better idea of the lad's background, Brownie. ;)

This is from Rovers web-site under 'Past Players':-

'Scott Joseph - Forward
Age:
Previous clubs: AFC Kempston

Signed for the club during pre-season in 2011. A young raw forward who has already been amongst the goals for the reserve team this season. Scott has a bright future ahead of him and this season will be a steep learning curve for him. An exciting prospect to have at the club and i'm sure the best is yet to come from him.'

Let's hope they are a right about the last prediction and his bright future is with us.

Thanks for that Trek, just like Waitrose, never knowingly etc etc. I couldn`t remember his involvement at Barton but presume it wasn`t a long one. He had the odd game during the time Sam was at Kempston but due to the collection of established strikers they had at the time was never a regular and by the time that all changed Sam was playing somewhere else.
Think it`s one of 2 things with him, either he got dead lucky on Sat, or we have a young keen striker who has his feet planted firmly on the ground who may well go on to become a part of the Clubs history for all the right reasons, and I think you know which one I hope/feel it is likely to be ;)

I think I've already talked one of them (a mate from work) into coming along on Saturday!

You need to remember the u21s is effectively our reserve side, so it's where you'd put a player to get a few games to sharpen up - it's not a punishment, but an opportunity to work on your game, sharpen up, show the manager you really want a place in the 1st team. To accommodate the new lads things had to be mixed up a bit - Ben Morgan deserved his place on merit - he has worked his socks off and shown a great attitude and work ethic, both in the u21s and in the 1st team when he's come off the bench - Alfie now has the opportunity to show the same.

It's football - it's why you have a squad. It's not being disrespectful to ask a player whose a bit off his game to work on it in the "reserves" for a few games - sitting on the bench won't help him.

if Scott is on Twitter I hope he has the common sense to keep quiet when he's had a bad game or loses form!

I can't find him on twitter, all I can find is a guy from Utah, and a restaurant critic!!!
