Read the rest of the feature here... https://bluewhitediamonds.wordpress.com/When Darren Purse was appointed AFC Rushden & Diamonds U18s / Malcolm Arnold Academy Head Coach, I’m not sure he knew what to expect – or even that he would walk out as a Rushden player.

https://bluewhitediamonds.wordpress.com/It’s time to catch up with another of our ‘unsung heroes’ at the club.
Last time we met Catherine Rust, an 18-year-old volunteer who enjoys helping out around the club in multiple roles. You can find the link to this feature below.
However in this article, I will introduce you to another one of our hardworking volunteers, Kay Gillespie.

Ten videos embedded and a vote at the bottom. Remember this blog isn't associated with the club and therefore not the official vote.So there we go, the end of an amazing season. 98 points and Champions of the United Counties Premier League scoring 121 league goals.

Enjoy!Volunteers often go unnoticed at football clubs so that’s why I am writing these features, so the heroes can get the recognition they deserve.
So far, I have introduced you to Catherine Rust and Kay Gillespie. Follow this link if you have missed either of these articles.
Today, I am introducing you to a vital volunteer which without him, we would lose our vital highlight package. Lee Sambridge uses his skills and expertise to help the cub. He is the driving force behind the highlights packages that appear on YouTube, a few days after the game.
https://bluewhitediamonds.wordpress.com/So the season has finished and what a season it has been.
For the U18s, it has been a very successful first season in partnership with the Malcolm Arnold Academy, as they won the league. Also, in the David Joyce Cup Final, Darren Purse’s boys ran Peterborough United close but subsequently lost 2-1.
I caught up with manager Purse to find out what is next for the scholars and to find out more about the additional U18 team.
