Agreed. A poor game, but we have been spoilt on many occasions, so lets just enjoy the 3 points.

With top five all winning today we still need 5 more points for promotion and eleven for the title.

I am confident that by 5 o clock on Easter Monday we will be promoted.

My quick match summary from today's game.... relief the key word!! Full report tomorrow.

I'm nominating Tom Lorraine as a contender for Brad Harris in the Unsung Hero award. 16 goals this season, 17 in total match to Jack Wizz total and go 6th equal on all time list. Anyone want to name the other 5????

I'll have a stab at Taylor, Dunkley, Koriya, Newman and Gearing

I don't think that its a game that will live long in the memory, but its a victory and a clean sheet. Not sure about MOM choice but then again nobody really stood out. I'm still wondering how much longer Peaksy will perceive with Berwick as he only seems to do bits and no real strong influence on matches. Just seems to be somewhat of a disappointment of to what we expected when he signed

That's a good call - although I don't think Tom had his best game today. You might ask a similar question about goals per game ratio (or indeed goals per start ratio).

Peaksy will have some difficult decisions to make in the next few games with ELJ and Jack Ashton nearing a two game ban if they pick up further yellow cards in one of the next three games.

Poor match but 3 points none the less and a guaranteed top 4 finish as Yaxley can no longer catch us.

I thought Bunts was immense today - Tom's goal was vital !

The wind made it difficult and in truth the next 5 league games are all about the results, not the performance. Bumpy dry pitch, swirly wind, not easy out there. I thought we might cope better in the second half than we did, but up against a young side full of running I'll take that.

Not a great game, but the result was all !!

Now to secure a place in the KOC Final Tuesday evening - watching out for a Wisbech side that I'm sure will be physical - I sense team changes !!

I'm then away for a week after that so will miss the Long Buckby game - hopefully we can celebrate promotion against WTFC - I'll drive like the wind to be back for that ....... but obviously within the legal limits :)

Well done tonight lads - hard warned win - but well worthy of it !!

Agree about Bunts, thought he was terrific today, his workrate very strong. One of those games where we missed Confue's drive in the middle of the park, especially in such windy conditions where we needed players to run forward with purpose when in possession rather than rely on long cross-field passes.

Hard-earned and well-deserved 3 points.
