I thought that everyone had a good game today, we looked head and shoulders above Welly.
On the lady referee, who was superb, I spoke to the UCL assessor and he told me that she is up to referee in the women's Premier league next season
8-)

It was a great team performance today, with some excellent decisions by the management too - e.g. the Ashton substitution. I can imagine the Wisbech players celebrating their 6-1 to think they might put some pressure on our goal difference, only to find we'd improved ours even more.
With Newport Pagnell and Cogenhoe both near the top of the UCL form guide its important to wrap things up at Sileby -

I know Wellingborough Town are on a 'cost cutting regime' but surely that shouldn't mean that their leading goalscorer should be forced to play in a pair of shorts at least two sizes too small. I felt I was watching a footballer from the early 70's.

They really were poor today and the score would have been a lot higher if Buckby had hit the target a lot more.

What can I say? Cracking game around excellent performance
As to Lady referee.... she will be refereeing at a much higher level in the coming seasons, I can see her in the leagues in maybe a few years ;)

I'm still trying to decide if we were superb or Wellingborough were horrendously poor. I think that our superb performance made a poor Wellingborough side look abjectly bad.
It could have easily been 10-0 and they would have no complaints. You would have thought that with new manager in attendance they would have put up a fight but there was nothing.
That said we gave them nothing, beat them to everything and at times it looked like it was 11v8.
Man of the match could have been anyone of about six but for me a special mention to Bunting who controlled the game from start finish and proved there is nobody better at managing a game in the league.

I'd agree with all of that. I'd also like to mention Tom Lorraine, not his usual role but he put in a great box to box performance, loads of energy won the ball regularly and got the goal he deserved. Perhaps it could turn out to be his best position? The best compliment for our midfield yesterday is that we didn't miss Adam Confue or Brad Harris

I agree, bunting has been great over the past few weeks. Getting back to his best.
