Re: AFCRDTV
One option we could do is just hire someone to be a cameraman for the game, then it just means the editing could be done.
Thos guys interested in live streaming, would you pay £8 a game others are charging?

Would much rather we kept Radio diamonds and had the highlights on youtube (with some kind of subscription service or sponsorship to cover this) and we leave live streaming alone for now.
I think the other outfit up the road made a big mistake with the direction of travel they took in regard to this.

I would pay per game. As effectively you are paying the fee you would do to watch the game in the flesh.bozzer wrote:Thos guys interested in live streaming, would you pay £8 a game others are charging?
Obviously I would hope it would be a fairly solid link so to avoid buffering etc etc.
Not sure all people would be happy to do so though. How many people would need to take up this option for it to be introduced. Would there need to be a set amount of people using the service before the game was broadcast live. Or could it still go ahead even if only 1 person was paying £8 for using it?

I'd be happy to pay for a subscription based service to watch the highlights of games.
Unfortunately with work, travel etc I can't always get to games, so to me the highlights on YouTube are a valuable service.
Obviously if you had a highlights subscription service, you'd possibly get the non subscribers moaning that its an "Us vs Them" thing, which I'm sure none of us want.

So he first option is this company doing it, another option is to hire someone just to be a cameraman at each game, the camera we have can stream to ustream, it would need a mini 4g box which is a subscription, so if we get enough people and it might be worth as an option, we would probably need a minimum of 3 at £8 per game to cover the cost. It would still mean i would do the editing but it would save having to film each match so it is a step forward.Dowlo wrote:I would pay per game. I am going to do some tests over the next few games and see if this is really an option or not.

Re: AFCRDTV
As someone who has been based away from the area for the majority of the AFC Rushden Diamonds adventure, AFCRDTV has been such an incredible resource and blessing. Thanks to everyone who has worked on it. I'd love to see it stay in whatever capacity, and would be happy to pay a moderate subscription (<£10 a month) to continue having the service we currently get, which is excellent by the way!
If I was in charge of this project, I would look at our partnerships with schools. There will be hundreds of students in the local area keen to enter the video/media business. By filming highlights, putting them together, and publishing on YouTube, this would look great on their CV's, and we'd hopefully get a decent service still. Just an idea.

I agree with you, look to partnerships with schools, there's plenty/hundreds of students who are keen on video/media business.
I've always liked the AFCRDTV YouTube channel, and wanted to thank everybody who's worked on it.

I think you may be overestimating the number of kids that are taking media courses locally. TV production doesn't really kick in until you get to University. There could be opportunities with Northampton or Bedford though.
