It was much better today... 4 4 2 and moved the ball around well, The energy from front to back was good, we looked up for it!

We can only beat what's in front of us and today it was a job well done and we move on.

Great to see Richards, Bowen and Quigs have good games!

Yes it was a good display. Northwich we're extremely poor, particularly in defence but we looked confident and played much better than we have recently. Richards didn't look like he hadn't been playing and ran his socks off. He improved us no end, it's not like we've been asking for a winger since Evangelinos left or anything... :ermm:

Pleased for Nabil to get his goals as he seemed to be badly lacking confidence lately. His second goal was excellent after a determined run.

Northwich a club in disarray it seems. You could almost count their fans on two hands! A once proud Conferenxe club, not too long ago at that.

Wouldn't get too excited, by all accounts (twitter) Northwich were pretty poor. The missed penalty was a pathetic attempt and our corner taking was pretty shocking.
Ever the positive take on things Rushdenjim. Hope making that comment cheers you up on a Saturday when our team went longest away trip, after 3 straight defeats, worked their socks off and....won!!

Totally entitled to your opinion of course...but try the glow of glass half full for a change especially straight after the game. Happy Saturday night..

Indeed - especially as our delivery of corners and free kicks was far better in the hands of Ford and Richards - we had 10 or so corners, and all were well hit, although a couple were cut out at the near post by good defending. We also avoided the folly of short-free kicks and throws which have too often put ourselves in trouble in games this season. Even if you accept the Vics are weak in defence, it was impressive to see how well the various pairings gelled - Quigley & Farrell, Shariff and Bowen, given this were the first time we'd seen these pairings. Ben Ford and Ollie Brown-Hill had their best games for the club, and Shawn Richards looked really committed to the cause. Nabil admitted he didn''t hit his penalty well, but credited the keeper for reading his intention which made it look worse.

it's a bit quiet on here

Apologies there were no cameras there today Pitchero normally contact us if they don't have a local cameraman, but didn't on this occasion. You can see some of the action on the clubs snapchat account.

It's a shame those that didn't go can't see Nabil's performance, as it was a sign he's really getting back to form. Had the goal stood that was flagged for offside by a rather flag-happy linesman it would have been the goal of the game from a team point of view.

I was bang in-line with that and thought he was a good yard or two onside.

Wasn't at the game but speaking to people who were it sounded a lot better. Nabs has always been better when actually having a strike partner and good to see him amongst the goals again, it will do his confidence the world of good.

Having two wide players brings a balance we haven't had in a while and Farrell and quigs will bring good energy to that central midfield.

Shawn is a player we've been crying out for for months and it's great to see him back. Hopefully we can keep Jack till the end of the season and then I'll be confident we can make the playoffs
