First pre season for me yesterday, hard fought game which diamonds could have won yet easily lost with anyone else between the sticks. I’ll be majorly surprised if snedker is here come the end of the season.. bit of a slog having to basically learn a brand new team again apart from the few that have stayed on..

although I did this morning, this season was the first since the start in which I’ve been hesitant on renewing my membership. Has discounted away travel been put back on this season? Or is the c word still stopping it? Think common sense prevailed in keeping the entrance fee the same and not raising it. Don’t think people would pay any extra to watch this quality of football.

Anyways yesterday was ok, not the greatest fan of the hillier cup earlier rounds but I think If there ain’t a couple of fa cup wins then people may start to get antsy.. just my opinion

I believe BartonRaz is spot on regarding Casey. I think he is still being lured by other clubs though. For anyone to sign him now they would have to put in a 7 day and be prepared to pay a fee. Snedker has still to sign. Both of these issues need to be resolved this week as we can't go into final pre season still not knowing for certain what is happening.

Don't forget Tshikuna has not yet signed either. He would be a target for any club at our level.and he was not at the game yesterday

I’d say Cogenhoe had the better chances and should have won the game. They got in behind the defence and made quite a few penalty box entries and caused a lot of set piece problems. Just lacked better decisions and a bit of luck in those moments.
Sneds was class and made 3 good, 1 especially great save that kept Diamonds in the game.
Penalties after are a lottery and again Sneds saved the day.
I hope Diamonds pull things together and quickly.

I'd agree with that Andrew. It was my first pre-season game and Cogenhoe were technically better. But for Sneds then it would be the home side in the next round. The number 18 did well when he came on second half and young Morley has something about him. Paddy was his usual efficient self but not sure he wanted to be there. But for a release fee I'm sure he would be elsewhere. Apart from that I saw nothing in the new boys to excite me.

You are correct bartonraz. If Bugbrooke's offer of compensation didnt meet the boards valuation, presumably it will now go to a tribunal.
