If anybody isn't travelling to Mickelover and wants their weekend football fix on Saturday then Rushden & Higham are at Hayden Road against Letchworth.

Another 90 anxious minutes to endure today? Mickleover have signed several new players lately and won 5 - 2 at Barwell. They have no problem scoring goals but do concede as well. 22 both for and against in just 10 games. I predict we will have a goal rush and score at least one! Trouble is just how many will they score.

What we would give for a win today after what surely must be one of the worst weeks in this club's short history. A lack of signings in the week doesn't fill me with confidence, but on a positive note I think defensively (hope this comment doesn't come back to bit me later) all of a sudden over the last couple of games we look okay and Bunga and Evan along with Hughes at the back should do well. Just got to sort the attack out, hope Tee is back as we don't have many options going forward and without Tee and Ngwa last week we were toothless.

I can’t be the only one concerned that after nearly 10 days in we have not signed anyone. It’s simple, we are not staying up with what we have currently got. And I do expect some departures if we don’t get the players in.

Doesn’t help with the current manager. If we approach a player they’ll ask who they’re talking to, Richard Maxwell, and they’ll ask “Who?”. At least with Burge we had a name, players would surely have known of him.

Indeed, we desperately need some decent signings to quieten our nerves and prove us wrong about Maxwell's ability to attract players here. Despite the upturn in performance and that great win against Nuneaton, I am still having a hard time believing we have any chance of staying in this league.

Number 18 Andy Mandjoba, otherwise known as Andy Kanga, young winger/striker formerly of Blackpool academy, and more recently Shepshed Dynamo. Why has neither him nor Kartell Dawkins been announced? Kartell is on loan from Leicester I think?
