Under Nunn we have what was missing earlier in the season under Burgess. Passion, togetherness, and as Chris said in his post match interview the players clearly want to be at the club.
The future is looking brighter, and I’m excited for next season.

A superb result and a fantastic performance from every single one of those Diamonds players on that pitch. We were so close to a quite memorable victory. Although on the back foot at times, for much of the first half we went toe-to-toe with Tamworth and what a way to take the lead. Great strike from Pinto-Leite hitting the post and going in. To be 1-0 up at half-time was almost a victory in itself.
Tamworth were dominant in the second half as you expected they would be, I mean it really was wave after wave for most of it. We made countless blocks and Snedker pulled off his usual brilliant saves but eventually they broke through for a deserved equaliser. How amazing it was to retake the lead though. Such great composure from Anker who did so well to hold off the challenges and tuck the ball away for 2-1. What a feeling it was when it hit the back of the net, the best celebrations for a very long time! It was galling to concede in stoppage time as we just hesitated to clear our lines, but to be fair to Tamworth they merited a point at the very least.
With the quality players he’s brought in and the way he’s got the team to gel into one that can actually compete at this level, Chris Nunn has instigated a remarkable turnaround. It’s so good to see the players and management staff coming over to thank the fans after each and every game. It makes you know your support is appreciated and it reflects the unity we now have at our club. A few weeks ago I couldn’t wait for this season to end; now I don’t want it to. Looking forward to seeing what we can achieve in the last five games!

It would be ironic and also very satisfyingsussexdiamond wrote: Sun Apr 02, 2023 8:49 am It would be ironic if the two points dropped by Tamworth to Diamonds, Peaksy former club and the team bottom of the league, were to cost them the automatic promotion slot.

Good to see that the management team are engaged through the game and not just standing "trusting in the process"

And good that we didn't have to wait a couple of months before Tamworth posted the goals unlike Bully's bullet last season.
