Re: Players for next season
This is one of the most positive pre-seasons I can remember, I wasn’t expecting to hear anything on new signings or retained players until after July 1st. The club are really stirring up excitement for the new season, kudos to those doing so. We needed to keep the core of the squad we had, and that looks like exactly what is happening, shame about Inman, but I believe he’ll smash it for Harborough, if it doesn’t work out for him, I’d love to see him back.

I agree. It’s a different approach to how signings have been made previously, rather than using preseason friendlies as an opportunity to look at players, I wonder if we will have an almost complete squad by 7th July and use these games to bed in the team and get us off to a strong start?AFCRD_Dan wrote: Sat Jun 22, 2024 5:01 pm This is one of the most positive pre-seasons I can remember, I wasn’t expecting to hear anything on new signings or retained players until after July 1st. This would be a great approach IMO, too many years we've tinkered with the side for the first 10 games even under AP.mattparker wrote: Sat Jun 22, 2024 5:52 pmI agree. Re: Players for next season
Certainly seems that way, maybe with a few trialists in the mix during the pre-season games? At least with the new signings and retained players announced early, it won’t be like it was under Burgess where we seemed to have new trialists every game.mattparker wrote: Sat Jun 22, 2024 5:52 pmI agree. Re: Players for next season
We now have Cairo Taylor, so I'm happy with that. So now let's have some interesting and exciting trialists and maybe a couple of loanees.Ricky330 wrote: Sat Jun 29, 2024 9:21 am Anybody heard anything re Taylor, Ngwa or Wilson?? Be a big loss if they aren't signing![]()
Re: Players for next season
Would like to see Wilson back as he started to show promise end of last season. Gave us a proper left foot option on the wingsussexdiamond wrote: Tue Jul 02, 2024 6:42 pmWe now have Cairo Taylor, so I'm happy with that. Re: Players for next season
Definitely retained the core of the side that did so well at the end of the season.
Looking forwards to seeing what we can do, there still time to bring in a few more and assess some trialists to add a bit of depth.
