They're at least 2 levels above their natural level, with an average of 346. That's just not sustainable at that level, their losses must be immense even if they are part-time.

Only Maidenhead United with an average of 306 are lower than them in the Blue Square South.

We can take the piss, or we can look at just exactly where our fantastic support can get us back to.

Can't we do both? ;)

I vote both as well. ;)
I bloody love this guy, he's by far my favourite poster on Poppynet. He should work as a therapist because I think he could make even the most depressed person in the world see the good things in their life:

Yeah go on try! Try and see the positives in losing to a side that was actually worse than yours, in terms of points gained at the start of the day. This should be good!
We are not down yet, still plenty of points to play for and games still to come against some of the poorer teams in the League. Southport will we difficult on Tuesday but surely we can get at least a point, and then two very winnable Home matches against Alfreton and Telford.
Against some of the poorer teams in the league? What, poorer than Hayes who were 23rd before the points deduction?! Then "surely we can get at least a point" at play-off chasing Southport, after just losing... to Hayes. Then that'll be followed by blitzing Alfreton and Telford, but those 6 points are basically a given so it would be a waste of time dissecting that comment. Alfreton and Telford would be stupid to turn up really, they're on a hiding to nothing.
Hopefully (assuming the Police allow us to attend) the positve news of the last few days will bring more people to Nene Park, and with the help of the "Brackley Three" we can cheer the best club in England on to the victories that we so badly need.
"...assuming the Police allow us to attend" - Just sums the whole thing up.

Still think the 'real ace' is a stooge or George Roll's alter ego.
Makes out he's been supporting the Ploppies for years but knows no other fans and they don't know him. ;)

Feel free, but in their case I like to think they're something we can aspire to be. A club that gleefully punches above their weight without crippling themselves financially*.
*this is guesswork

While I agree with you, it's a very small set of AFCR&D fans who know me and I've been supporting us for over a decade now ;)

I agree we should aspire to that level, but in the end they will fall back down. As for the finances I think it's pretty clear that whilst their club's still going at that level it's crippling
someone financially, fag packet maths shows you that:
20 players on £10k each (part-time) = £200k (maybe more).
Manager + Assistant = £30k.
Travel costs, overheads and possibly money being paid to Woking = £30k-£50k.
Let's say they're getting £100k in gate revenue, it still leaves a shortfall of around £150k and someone's got to make that up. What happens if those people leave? Heartache for their fans no doubt.
We should aspire to be at a level where we can break-even and compete, not at a level where we're making huge losses and are reliant on a madman/con man. Let's leave that to K*ttering. ;)
