That was a failed marketing ploy to get more locals there.
I wee they are proposing to hit the local schools giving out tickets again, last time they all went in the away end wearing Diamonds shirts.

Why would local school children want to watch a failed, almost certain to be relegated team?

Won't work. They're still going bust whatever the deluded ones think!

By George, they have really fallen for it haven't they? The Journo's and the Plops supporters! He's even got his red tie on!

That gimp shaking Sausage's hand is going to feel a right idiot once the CVA is announced and Plops end up "not existing".

Oh and by the way Georgie Porgie, R&D lives on in AFC R&D! :D

Forza AFC!!!

Mr Rolls said fans should forget about the ghost of Rushden and Diamonds and embrace their new home.

He said: “Forget Rushden and Diamonds, they don’t exist. Let’s get rid of everything to do with them and make it all about K*ttering.

“The Diamond Centre? Why on earth would it be called that now?

“Even the ground itself could be called something else.

“Everybody has got to spread the word that this is now the home of K*ttering Town.”
Wow, that pretty much alienates anybody who ever had any sort of connection to the Diamonds.

Fans from K*ttering don't want to travel to Nene Park, they are in desperate need of new fans and new businesses to support the club so the perspective owner makes his task even harder by sticking his foot in his mouth.

As I mentioned earlier in the thread, call the Diamonds Center what ever you want but the stigma of it being run down won't be shaken.

I thought the same when reading the comments - not that many Diamonds fans have ever been interested, but if he genuinely thinks that there will be enough support travelling from K*ttering, without getting the East Northants community onside, he is clueless.

don't get me wrong, i miss conf football but watching a team that isn't mine has no interest to me whatsoever.
we're building for the future, they're looking at the past. king rollo hasn't exactly saved any of the other two clubs he's been involved with.

Basically this all means that Desperate Measures can continue into next season, I look forward to laughing at their attempts to "sweat the facilities" in the Blue Square North.

Max Griggs, Helen Thompson, Keith Cousins and Imraan Ladak all said they were going to "sweat the facilities" and none of them could manage it. How many more chairmen are going to say it before it becomes clear that it isn't viable.

It will really be ironic, if Max's legacy, Nene Park, is the death of Kettrin 8-)
