I wonder if they will expect every club in the Conference Leages to be debt free prior the kick off in August 2012 :?: Maybe that what Mr Strudwick meant when he said in the ET Interview that Kettrin as of today would be ok to play in the BSN, all that could change by the end of the AGM.
Those things won't ever be passed. Clubs voting for them would be turkeys voting for Christmas. I bet at least 75% of the Conference clubs survive thanks to directors' loans. IMO K*ttering are safe at the AGM, Strudwick said so.

I'd love it if they did bring in that rule (and actually enforce it). With the Conference needing 24 clubs with no debt and no directors loans, I reckon we'd have a good chance of ending up playing in Step 1 next season!

The Proposals were actually discussed at last years AGM so the clubs have had a full season to ready themselves for any changes, of course Kettrins Chairman in waiting would not know about these proposals and i wonder if Sadact has mentioned the new Financial Rules the Conference wish to implement.

It will all depend on who actually has the final say on these Financial proposals, will clubs have a vote or did the clubs last season allow the board the right to decide on major decisions.

Let's hope any new rules don't end up expelling four non-relegated BSP teams thereby miraculously allowing the relegated teams to keep their places!

Quite agree, i have been thinking that for the past month, how many times did Forest Green avoid relegation because other clubs dropped out. The scum really do need to finish bottom to minimise their chances of suvival!
But then that doesn't look to be a problem does it :D

Didnt Altrincham avoid relegation 3 times as a result of the Conf AGM Cup? I'd wet myself if K*ttering finish below Bath on GD and then 3 Clubs got a reprieve!

Has a team ever got a reprieve in this league after finishing 2nd bottom? I don't have any stats to hand but I highly doubt it.

There were 3 clubs in real risk of being chucked. Two are currently in the bottom 4 anyway, and the other - Braintree - have met the ground criteria after they were given a season to sort stuff out.

K*ttering are gone, it's just a question of how far.

Altrincham actually finished bottom in one of the seasons they were reprieved - but only two teams went down that season - 2005/06. Canvey Island had taken voluntary demotion - which meant we missed the dubious pleasure of visiting them in the following season when we rejoined the Conference.

Fair enough. Only 3 relegation places back then though.
