I'm going to bid 1p each for the square of grass that Tommo took his shot from and the square of grass that Dale was on when he told us we'd scored. That Pickering guy will bite my hand off.

The Big Ron night was first announced on the 6th May so I take it as they are promoting it on Poppynet today that sales are slow.
The amount of money they could raise would be around 12K gross for a full house, deduct VAT and if Big Ron is taking a fee and then catering costs unless Sauages Mrs is cooking up a nice cheap stew for mains and apple pie for dessert.

Do you really think they will get over 250 to see Ron Atkinson at £45 each. 100 tops

I never said would but could raise around 12K based on a full house prior deduction of Tax and costs but as they are still pushing the evening only a few days prior the event it looks like the tickets are not selling well just like the season tickets.Mat.H wrote:Do you really think they will get over 250 to see Ron Atkinson at £45 each. 100 tops
The other interesting point over the weekend was that Stimson is still in dispute over the remainder of his contract (about 2 years) which i doubt is cheap to resolve as no doubt Sadact gave him a lucrative contract based on the high wages he was giving players.
£100K Bond plus Stimsons payoff plus outstanding Tax, the poopy fans will have to have deep deep pockets just to clear that liitle lot.

A 3 year contract?!
Well I suppose at that point he was playing with imaginary money.

heh too true.ChorltonV wrote:Ha! Just read on ploppynet how the fuckwits are feeling gutted that mr pickering has put up for sale all the fixtures and fittings at Rockinghorse Road. I wonder what is worse, seeing the place where you grew up and shared some of your fondest and proudest memories be stripped and dismantled, or seeing your fiercest rivals move in and infect the place. It's been said a hundred times but Karma is a real bitch.
