I see Lawrie Walker's old man has been going hell for leather on Poppynet. I'm cringing on Lawrie's behalf. If that was one of my parents i'd be mortified.

The white knight thundering into Irthlingborough on his charger was a familiar name: the former chairman of Cambridge United and Weymouth, George Rolls. Over the last few months and years, Rolls has developed a curious habit of saying one thing with considerable confidence before doing something else entirely. When he arrived at Weymouth, he had no intention the club into a CVA, before putting them into a CVA. When his name first became linked with K*ttering Town, he proclaimed very publicly that he was doing nothing more than “advising” the club. Within a couple of months, he had decamped to Nene Park. Upon his arrival at Irthlingborough, he stated that he had no intention of putting K*ttering Town into a CVA. A last nights meeting, he confirmed that he would be putting the club into a CVA.
And some people on Ploppynet are STILL trusting him! Deluded!
It is really is ridiculous. Someone on there just pointed out that they haven't definitely been confirmed into the SLP and to not trust GR's word completely and the response they got was 'When will you take your doom and gloom blinkers off'!
I understand them trying to see the positives in the situation and hoping for the best in the future of course and many of them are aware that they can't trust him, but I just find it baffling how they continue to ignore the facts of GR and he will almost certainly at some point in the future act differently to what he had said he'd do again
Oh and we've been accused of being bitter and jealous again! But of what?!The demise of r&d is long in the past now and we've moved on and what on earth would we be jealous of, I mean there's actually a very real possibility of us getting better crowds than them next season despite being 3 levels below them!! We're not bitter and jealous at all, we're just enjoying their misfortunes

Is this not a bit classless? They did the same to us and now K*ttering haven't even gone bust and they're already talking about trying to get their fans.

Apparently K***ering have made some enemies in Bishop's Stortford as well as now they are likely going back to the Conference North for another season.

they've had plenty of warnings from us, i'm not feeling sorry for them anymore. They've made their choice and not listened, they get what they voted for

At least there's the odd sensible post on Ploppynet:-
"Firstly, can we as fans not just agree for once? Finding a bunch of supporters as argumentative as us would be impossible! These are the darkest days in our history, we need to be united.
As much as I agree that a CVA is the only way for us to avoid liquidation, I think paying 10p in the pound and then boasting about about such a large budget is not only a bit of a piss-take, but quite shameful. We want to be a community club, how will that be achieved if we ruin all harmony with local businesses?
Also, GR supposedly stated he's been involved since December? So why did he deny all involvement when it was first put in the NLP? Genuinely, what was the point? Something fishy."

Colin Peakes, the Conference media man, has confirmed on twitter that the Plopps have formally resigned from the Conference ahead of today's meeting where the make up of the three leagues is determined.

Frankly they are scraping the barrel with there new Football Chairman in waiting, only Stephen Vaughan has a worse record and reputation in Football, Jealous my backside frankly we are lucky that Rolls never appeared last year or we would have been lumbered with him and his antics.
Big Lucky Escape 8-) i rather be in our postion than theirs.
