Leon was due to sign for us just before Chris Nunn left around 15 months ago, so his career has taken quite an upturn since then!

Ben Heath’s second spell at the club comes to an end. On a personal level, I’m sad to see Ben go - he will go down as an AFCR&D legend, and his efforts last season were superb. From a footballing perspective, I’m not surprised to see him depart. I feel he hasn’t performed to his capabilities (for the most part) this season. Sincerely wish him all the best!

Legend

as the comedy sketch goes, legend used to be pulling a sword from a stone, now it’s entering a room unexpectedly with a packet of crisps. A decent keeper but certainly had his critics over the years. For me a good servant to the club but not quite in the legend category but then I’ve not seen much of his 2nd spell.

Ben was absolutely crucial in the turn around last season.

Totally agree Rick but he has been at fault for a few this season

A great servant but not a legend in the Liam Dolman sense of the word! Definitely, a key member last season.
I guess that he wont be the last to leave in the next few weeks as reinforcements arrive to stop the slide down the table.
New striker next?

I think you could argue his contribution was more significant this time around than it was last time, in 1/3 of the appearances! Certainly a lot busier this time in most games and we probably aren't at Step 4 this season without his input last year.
Shame to see him go especially knowing he was so close to 200 appearances, but in trying to plot a route out of this poor run of form there can't really be any room for sentiment if the Manager thinks it's the right thing to do.

Well if you were asked to pick your best ever afcr&d eleven, then Ben heath would surely be alot if people's choices. Snedker and finlay are the only real other options, so for me he's the best keeper we've ever had, for his performances and commitment. If people want to address him as a club legend, then that's fine
