Thanks Formic for clearing that up; never really understood what the Claw Back was.

Its just a shitty situation all around; despite being a jewel in Max's eye, Nene Park became a noose around the Diamonds neck making it impossible to drop down the Leagues to find a more natural level.

During the last two or three years we became a pawn in a much bigger game for the control of 23 acres of land in the middle of nowhere which can be developed in three years time, but at the heart of any development will be a 6,500 capacity white elephant which will stand empty whilst 5 miles down the road a bright future will be well underway at the Dug and Duck.

For the record I don't give a flying f*** what happens to K*ttering, couldn't care less if they folded; their fans danced on our grave and then jumped straight into our still warm bed so they can burn in ****ing hell and I wouldn't shed a tear unlike some fans on here which I find truly amazing.

With the news that Rangers are facing liquidation following HMRC's decision to reject the proposed CVA that would have saved the ailing Scottish club, are we seeing a precedent being set, and where does this leave KTFC? Shitting it, I would hope.

In the case of Rangers HMRC were very much a large Creditor so could oppose the CVA and vote it out, however in the case of Kettrin the largest Creditors outvote HMRC, but maybe like they did with Chester they could challenge the CVA in the courts.

it's just interesting when you read the case of Rangers, wherein HMRC along with all other creditors would undoubtedly have recieved more monies by allowing the CVA to be approved along with the promise of further tax reciepts from allowing Rangers to continue to play at the top tier of Scottish football and potentially European football. However it seems that the principal of not allowing a football club to take this route out of it's responsibilities to its creditors, is on balance the trump card; the HMRC are taking the line that principal is more important than money. If I were Kettrin and GR I wouldn't expect the CVA to be a done deal

Aren't K*ttering still going to be in trouble because the proposed CVA doesn't protect any football related creditors including footballers and other clubs?

From what I understand even if the CVA is "agreed" the FA will demote them even further down the pyramid to a level similar to Darlington?

Why amazing? KTFC are our rivals, if they go bust then that rivalry is dead. I won't shed any tears if they were to go belly up I promise. However, two wrongs don't make a right. So a lot of their fans showed a lack of class when we went under and revelled in our demise? It doesn't mean we have to do the same - we're better than that surely?

I'm a football fan first and foremost. I don't want to see any football club go bust (okay, MK Dongs is a separate issue ;) ). I dislike KTFC with a passion, but I have fond memories of our clashes with them, the adrenaline buzz of derby day and (usually) beating them, I've had some of my most memorable days vs them - why would I want to lose out on the hope of clashing with them again? That hope would be gone if they went belly up. The glow I get when I remember this moment is priceless :D :

I'm enjoying seeing them wriggle on the hook and seeing them drop a couple of Leagues is pleasing, if the CVA were to get challenged/voted out (it won't btw) and they were dropped even lower, then that brings forward the day when we'll meet on the field again - are you really saying you'd want to miss out on that????

Right so what's the difference between MK Dons and K*ttering, since MK Dons are always called a franchise club? Wimbledon were moved to MK because the owners saw the opportunity for a bigger market and a better stadium and commercial opportunities. K*ttering's fans VOTED to move out of their own borough so that they could have a better stadium, better commercial opportunities and to try and gain some of our fans from the local area. Both examples are exactly what happens in US sports in terms of franchises moving location. Surely having the fans actually vote in favour of franchising themselves is worse than the owners just doing it?! They're basically admitting that they're gloryhunters, only concerned about success, f*** tradition and being located in the borough that holds your name, that doesn't matter.
