If I wanted to see perfect passing, I'd trot 3 hours up the M6 to Manchester and watch a game with 50,000 tourists and a few mad mancs.
I like the passion ;)

The chances are that there were few "new" people there for their first ever game at NP. Most of us are returning fans and have seen it all before, so understand that's the level of football we're at and these games happen. We're a point better off than at this stage last season, with first team regulars to come back. Why was Robbo dropped as a left-back in favour of Cockers? It's abit of a good job in the end cos who scored the goal? That's football. I'm sure JE & PD will look at it and tweak it. Several players can (and will) get better as the management assess them going along.
Bath City next up, it's winnable.

I assume Robbo didn't start because he wasn't 100% fit, JE obviously had him on the bench for back up incase he was needed.

It is, but this could be a tough game. I think we should be ok, but the problem is it's their first home game at this level, so we need to be aware of that and treat them with respect.

Of course, but it might be worth going to 4-4-2 with Green apparently with us (according to the NLP, and quotes in there from JE to that effect), until players are settled in at the club ? Get some points on the board, get the confidence going and assess what the new players can do before committing them to a system that might not suit. Of course I expect the team to prove me wrong

What does the NLP say about Green?

It's a longish article that says Green has come on loan for a month and they quote JE as saying "P'boro' have been good to help us out with Dominic and Rene after taking Tommo. Dominic is a straight replacement being a left winger . . ." Mind you it also says that both were available yesterday, but further on (in the match report) JE expects Green to be available on Tuesday.

People always moan about how all the 'bandwagon' fans left after we started getting relegated, yet as soon as the club starts to struggle financially and raises prices by a few quid, lots of people don't attend matches? I dont understand it myself, but there we go!

Couldn't agree more OD - be there through thick and thin. Are these the same supporters who watched our team get to the play-offs last season..?
