I just received a text saying that one of the new owners has been made bankrupt 5 times before.

my daughter has just told me her company has booked a christmas party at diamond centre for 11/12/2010 and paid deposit.they phoned today to pay final payment (as should be paid 7 days in advance) to be told can not pay as no one can take payment. what should they do.

Interesting that JE has known Gary Calder for 13 years from when they were both at Billericay.

Jeez that's very hard to believe bearing in mind that the term bankrupt relates to an individual who cannot meet his personal liability and is an order made under the Insolvency Act 1986 against an individual debtor (not a limited company) which signifies that he is unable to pay his debts and deprives him of his property which is distributed among his creditors.

As a result of bankruptcy a bankrupt cannot trade or act as a company director and they would have be to discharged each time which could take a number of years. :shock:

was contacted today by rachel.everything is sorted.the daughters xmas party is going ahead as planned.all good.thank you.
