Getting through this season since the events of Nov/Dec last year and still having a chance of the play offs is a monumental achievement for our young squad. Each and every one of them has given us 100%. Sure, we've seen shocking football and had some disappointing results but they didn't give up and neither should we.
Steve and Liam came across very well on Friday night and they are definitely more plausible than Gary was. No one who was there on Friday could possibly doubt Justin's passion and commitment to the Club. As Pigman said, there's an air of positivity and optimism about Nene Park that we haven't had in quite a while. Come on Gary, join the party, we're going on a ride and it could be fun!
I totally agree with this and will also be getting a season ticket next year for the first time in about 8 seasons...

also no one commented on my Season Ticket Idea...I understand i'm not one of the big boys on here but i think it's a good idea, i will re-post it below;

How about Season Ticket Holders getting say 5 free tickets in there booklet, for the season, which gets someone in with them for free for the game of there choice plus a free programme...could be a great incentive for season ticket holders, and boost the attendances across the season as people will be using there voucher as and when it suits them and their friends.

and in regards to the student id debate - let students in with valid ID for £10 and kids 16 - 22 in for £12 that way if they forget there cards they still get in for better than an adult price, and you'll get more fans in the ground once more...hassle solved

I echo that idea. Would definitely work somewhere towards making it better.

Tbh I have no idea why students should get a discount. After all in most cases, they will be better off eventually for being a student! I wouldn't mind the creation of an age bracket where everyone whether they be students/workers/nothing pay the same price! And I'm saying that as a student!

Shame I couldn't make the fans forum, would have liked to have raised the issue.

Crikey!...I added 22 cause i'll be that age next year....my idea, i deserve some kind of discount ;)
i'm thinking of emailing the club with the season ticket idea tbh...that's the only way it could possibly happen

I think the problem is what would stop people using this for just the big games, which they’d attend anyway without the option thus achieving nothing and costing the club money?

We, the fans need to come up with some ideas that would include us putting in a bit of effort. We (the fans that go) need to keep asking people why they won't attend and then use these as a basis to come up with ideas). The prices are coming down next year, we now need to tackle the other excuses for not coming.

I don't understand what you're saying there? Are you implying people will use there friends free voucher to get in to a game they were already planning to attend? I feel that's a weak reason not to do it? Ok lets knock it down to 3 vouchers in a season ticket booklet...Now season ticket holders tend to be the most loyal of fans..I highly doubt they will just give there voucher to someone who is already intending to go to the game..the idea is to bring in new people and give them a taste. Even if all our season ticket holders did use a voucher on the same day, which i doubt..say Luton at home that would be what 800 people bringing in 800 guests, plus all the de bankers and others that come in without a season ticket and your luton away fans...hypothetically you're looking at at least 2500 coming to the game (1600 on the voucher scheme, 400 etc diamonds fans, 500 luton)...and with the odd pie and burger selling here and there..we're definately not going to be making a loss that game.

I honestly think it's a good idea and will bring in new people to experience a game....i'm buying a season ticket next year and it would be great to have a couple of vouchers to bring a mate as and when it suits me...and trust me I wouldn't waist them...i'd be taking someone who is likely to come back...it wont always get those results, but it will fill up the ground a bit in a few more games next year...worth a shot surely?

I saw this last night and weighed it up in my mind.

It is a decent idea, but it is open to abuse. If you knew enough ST holders you could probably got to half a season for free.

You'd also have everyone picking games against Luton/Grimsby/Cambridge/K*ttering. Whether you regard that as a problem or not is a personal opinion.

I have a way of combatting both of those though. Perhaps the club could list 5 or 6 as catagory A games, whereby the prices remain the same but ST 'vouchers' can't be used. Also, when you trade these vouchers in for tickets at the ticket office, you must give your details, so that you can only purchase 2/3 free tickets in a season?
They say we've lost our money we're not famous anymore.....

Blimey, there's some brilliant ideas floating around on here that just need refining. Perhaps consider rather than a free matchday ticket, a free car parking ticket? Or heavily discounted matchday ticket? Friend for a fiver?

I agree. If implemented very few of these free entrance vouchers would be used by new supporters. It's a non-runner.

A list of ideas for attracting new support should be summarised and presented to the Club for next season. In the remaining 4 home matches I think that each match's attendance will be over 1200, even this Saturday, when Southport might a bring a few more fans than Bath, H&Y and FGR.
