Who told who about GC trying to get rid of JE.

It looks like to me that the Beasents maybe were Tarring GC with a good coating of mucky stuff so the fans would say what nice chaps the Beasents are getting rid of a man who wanted to sack our Manager.

Gary Calder with Hornchurch and Weymouth was left holding the babies when the money men went missing and was and still is the easy target, so maybe this time he was more aware of matters unfolding and was binned because he started questioning the Beasents as i doubt he wanted a hatrick of being the man to face the fans hostility whilst other bolted to the hills.

We will never know the truth as there is the real truth, the truth you believe, the truth others believe and lies that masqarade as truth.

Let me say I was at the meeting where GC tried to get rid of Justin and I was totally appalled. It was entirely his instigation and can't even blame the Beasants for that one.

DM sounds like GC was a bit callous, was there any reason that was given, we lost Brian Talbot if you recall when we tried to give him a paycut, normally incoming chairmen have theirn own managers lined up.

With the level and quality of Job JE was doing I would have retained him and expected at some time he would be head hunted, so there may have been some compensation that would come - agree it was apoor decision, but he seems to be around so he must still have an interest!

I wonder if either of our close sources have any updates

GC produced a list of our fixtures and results but he did not think they were acceptable. I didn't know at the time he had a new manager lined up and he had been coming to our matches.

I dont want anyone thinking I have an affiliation with GC, I dont, probably clutching at straws.

I think a lot of energy has gone from the board/fans and I cant see that changing until present owners publicly leave!

To be honest, 30 seconds online investigation back in January were sufficient to tell me all I needed to know about the Beasants, their business background and their likely chances of their making a success of their ownership of our club.
A similar look at GC's business background doesn't make me feel any more optimistic.
I don't believe that KC has been - or is - doing us any favours here, simply looking after his own interests as best as he can and for which I for one cannot blame him.
I suggest guys, be careful what you wish for.

I think most of us had made those google checks on 1st December - but, since we weren't in a position to do much about it, were prepared to give the new regime a chance - and thus kept our own counsel. We are in a similar position now - we have no real influence in what goes on, as the monies needed are way out of our league. Many of us are still hoping a deal can be struck to give us some chance of survival - and if such a deal is struck we will review it in the same way as we did back in December.

You have to accept that the number of Max Griggs' / Dave Whelan's looking to invest in Football are very limited, so any investor will always be looking for a return.

I don't think that anyone would object to investors seeking a return on their investment - Lord knows I've followed that trail often enough myself in the past.
But that said, a "return" can take many different forms and with all due respect, I do suggest that you perhaps look back at some of my earlier posts and take a closer and more realistic look at what has been happening here.
