I would vote for Raunds too.

Me too. Maybe we should organise meetings during the new season at the grounds on their matchday to check out their facilities and give them some extra cash support through their turnstyles? It would show our good intentions to all of them and give us a game to watch on a Saturday (and keep us in the Saturday 3pm is footy habit). It might also give us an indication of the support our club can expect at these locations therefore help with financial planning, and is another chance to fundraise. So we might have to pay entrance to their club and another towards ours? Ok it's a double whammy, but our club benefits.Jemfy wrote:I'd like to see a full presentation for each of the options, with all pros and cons considered.
Go for it! You've got a chance to represent the club in AFC RD's first ever season.Oundle Diamond #2 wrote:Ah, probably not after a player who hasn't played properly since Summer 2010 then. :lol:AndyKirkup wrote:Well a lot of the players are on the fringes of/already in UCL first teams I understand so a pretty good standard.Oundle Diamond #2 wrote:What kind of standard are you expecting this side to be at? UCL mid-week sort of thing?
With regards to advertising, we will very shortly be confirming the second trials date and making a poster
That was my next question! Could we get any ex-players to help? Or even JE?rushdenrushden2 wrote:Who is over seeing trials and picking players ???
Hayden Road is one of the grounds being considered, however, it's already a struggle to fulfil all the fixtures there during the winter months, so it's unlikely that we would be able to setup home there. It's possible, however, that the U18s may play games at more than one ground next season, and Hayden Road could be one of them.rushdenrushden2 wrote:Bring it home to where it started Rushden town (rushden and higham now )
Steve Whitney is running the trials along with a couple of other local coaches. The management team are yet to be decided and won't be before the trials. Although the first couple of trials are being held over the next week, I don't know when decisions will be made on who is selected, or indeed who will make those decisions.BicesterDiamond wrote:That was my next question!
