Formic, you're definitely not alone.
In hindsight the warning signs were there and kept coming. Were the following comments from November 2009 (once their new stadium deal fell through) just coincidence...
"The chairman keeps alluding to not having a football club in the borough so that doesn't necessarily mean that K*ttering Town won't exist. It could mean K*ttering ground-sharing or moving out of the borough which could mean a move to Rothwell, or Corby, or Desborough or dare I say it Rushden and Diamonds?"

You clearly hold Stimson in higher regard than I Piggers, ask most Gillingham fans about him and despite a promotion i'm fairly sure they'll be less than complimentary.
As I said before, he hasn't won an away fixture as a manager for way over two years.
That said, I agree that they won't go down.

Are you all suggesting it was purely coincidence, given that K*ttering were desperate for a new ground, that our demise allowed a deal that was palatable to their fans as they could "rebrand" Nene Park rather than having to become "tenants" of their deadly rivals.
Even the Trust reported concerns about the interest from up the A6 before they handed over to KC.
Why do you all call them cuckoos, but not recognise what they have done ?
Formic, you have a PM

Formic - I'm with you 100%, you're spot on as far as I'm concerned.
I also find myself questioning the whole handover from the Trust to KC.

...and talking of the Trust, why the continued silence? Is the mooted meeting ever going to take place?

So, Stimson hasn't signed a contract yet, couple of telling pauses for thought in this interview for questions asked, woner if he truly trusts his would be Chairman to a) come up with the goods and b) keep his nose out of team affairs?:

Still time for Ladick to cock it all up yet it seems ;)
Told ya a change of manager might turn it around though, now got himself a big bargaining chip hasn't he?

The things that stand out from that interview, the issue of the Managers total control of team affairs and backroom staff and the club and Chairman being professional in its approach all of which Sadact has failed with since his takeover.
A dilemma for Sadact, no more writing the team sheet and what about Maison its obvious that Stimpson wants him away from meddling in team matters but Maison brought Money thats keeping the club afloat and Maison forced himself on Sadact as Manager because of the investment.

It's a matter of evidence and the threat of legal action on a public messageboard? We're showing our opinion by getting behind the new club and not spending our money at NP. Hindsight is a wonderful thing but it doesn't change what has happenned to us, so we're trying to focus on something positive (something we've not had in quite a while, even as R & DFC).
