Without wishing to spark a massive admission fee debate. I think the beauty of our new club, is that we should be completely oppossed to what is sending modern football to the wall. Yes, I want us to be competitive but I'd rather not see much money chucked about on players wages (which I'm sure wont happen) but more importantly, we should keep admission fees as low as possible. £15 odd quid to watch us last year, put people off. The same with people not wanting to pay 15-20 quid at the scum or cobblers. Lets get those old fans back from the surrounding areas, 5 quid is about right for UCL footy. £2 for concessions and under 8s free. If people are happy to pay more, buy some raffle tickets. I think 7 or 8 quid would really put people off! This is a slight worry of mine when things like this may go to a membership vote, because I'd bet almost all of the members, myself included, would say 'yeah, we're happy to pay £7/8. lets vote for that'. The problem is not all our potential fan base will be members and willing to pay that sort of cash.

I also think we could get away with paying slighly less than other clubs as playing for a 'big team' would be an attraction for local players. Also, most UCL players will only get paid if they play. Most of them will only get a 10er or so if they're an unused sub.

Can we have a transfer policy whereby we wont sign any player who has represented KTFC, no matter how good they are?

I can think of 3/4 players who would be excellent for us next year and who would like to play for us, but I wont mention they're names unless they get tapped up by other clubs ;)

Its pleasing to see that I think theres a few from our current U18s who could make the step up, more than I thought at the beginning of the year!

At one of our away games i got into conversation with one of our ex youth teamers plying his trade in the UCL Prem who said he wants to come and play for us next year and he only lives about 12-13 miles away

Surely we don't want to annoy people with all this "we're a big club and we will piss this tinpot league" attitude. I know there are a considerable group of Kings Lynn fans who only go to away games as they detest their own clubs overpricing policy.
Normal UCL prices, £5 if in premier, £4 if in Division 1, would surely produce a more than competative playing budget.

I completely agree - I was the only one who voted for 'pay what you want' this season when we had the vote on prices. I'm happy to support the majority decision, but if people are wanting to pay £7, let them pay £4 and donate £3, most of us would because we can now, for the first time, really trust where the money is going

Sid's right. Getting a decent team from the get go is not going to be easy.

There's also a considerable amount of UCL teams who are anti Kings Lynn due to the attitude of their fans in as far as "You are lucky to have us in your league, we ain't going to be here long" They didn't get promoted last season they may not this.

I totally agree with TTT and the concept of charging the same price as the "norm" for the league we are in - with £5 seeming to be the going rate for the UCL. You can then offer people things like raffles / golden goal / programmes to give them the option of spending a bit more if they like.

We might even consider adopting a scheme like Oxford City have done where they let people have a seat at no extra fixed charge, but have a donation bucket for a local charity.

We had far too much of the loyal fans being fleeced at Nene Park on admission prices / car parking charges - and the introduction of the latter caused so much resentment it helped to start the slide in attendances.
