There are decent trains from Peterborough, but then you need to get to the ground from Morpeth/Newcastle.
I'm around 25 miles from Peterborough Station and I've travelled north from there but it's a PITA by the time you factor in fuel costs there and back and exorbitant car parking charges in Peterborough.

On it, watch this space.
Before taking booking etc. for supporters, remember to check with the club what their arrangements are for the match.
I'm sure a shared coach for players and supporters is not out of the question.

Yes, thought of that, but lets just see what the quotes are, when I have them, I will put them up here, so the board can see, and see if it works for them as well etc etc

What would be the maximum number of seats available to supporters in a team coach organised by the club after taking into account playing squad, team management and board members needing to travel?

www.redspottedhankey.com - i've found individual outward and return tickets from Peterborough-Morpeth for a combined £55. I don't often use trains so there may well be cheaper alternatives.

Factor in fuel and parking to Peterborough Station and you might as well drive up the A1. Where I live I find that I have to allow over an hour to get to and park at Peterborough Station and by that time I can get to Newark on the A1 in my car.

Financially it would probably be far better to go on a coach / share a car, but the journey would be pretty painful. I suppose it depends on whether you're prepared to spend 10 hours on a coach rather than 5/6 on a train.
I've been to Berwick via Morpeth on the East Coast Mainline a couple of times and it's a dead easy trip.
