Feels a bit weird to me, not at all like the day of a game that could take us top. I r relaxed.

My assessment on Sunday evening was based on the photos taken with water on the pitch and the fact that the forecast, by the usually accurate MET office, for yesterday and during today was for more rain. However, we had a half decent day yesterday in Northamptonshire and despite a heavy overnight frost it's looking OK at present. Could do with a bit of drying wind however and I just hope it doesn't start raining at tea time. We don't want another late call off.UttoDiamond wrote:Was expecting this to be off (thanks Trek! ;) ) !!!
Is there a private box for hire ? Would love to go but due to health probs must keep warm ! Suppose it will be good old Radio Diamonds again who I must congratulate on past broadcasts ! .....There,that should get me a seat in Ralphs domain. :lol:UttoDiamond wrote:Ok....massive game now! Was expecting this to be off (thanks Trek! ;) ) !!! Now the players have to get their game heads on, get focused and prepared for the job in hand!
Game just confirmed by Oadby as OFF.rushdenman wrote: Oadby are due to play Northanpton Spencer at Kingsthorpe Mill this evening - I should think this must be very doubtful given the history of flooding there.
That's now 16 games to be played in 42 days for Spencer.Trek wrote:Game just confirmed by Oadby as OFF.rushdenman wrote: Oadby are due to play Northanpton Spencer at Kingsthorpe Mill this evening - I should think this must be very doubtful given the history of flooding there.
To be fair, we were expecting it to be called off last night, it came as something of a surprise this morning when we saw how much the pitch had improved!Trek wrote:My assessment on Sunday evening was based on the photos taken with water on the pitch and the fact that the forecast, by the usually accurate MET office, for yesterday and during today was for more rain.
