That's the same everywhere though. The Cobblers will probably take three times the capacity of Sixfields to Wembley and there was over 1100 at Hayden Road.

All it is is people jumping on the promotion bandwagon, course they won't be back. I would call myself a bit of a hypocrit but I have done it before. Last year went to Luton v York at Wembley for the play off final BUT there were plenty of seats still available.

What p**ses me off to the point it makes me angry is when it's a sellout, but the genuine fans are unable to get tickets having been a few times through the season.
Last game of the season v hartlepool and tickets were sold out before they went on general sale, still makes my blood boil till this very day. I wouldn't of said I was one of the hardcore attending week in week out, but bet I went to a few more games than alot of them that day

As many of you know I go to a lot of Cobblers games and always have done (when Diamonds aren't playing of course) as some immediate family are season ticket holders. I was at both legs of the play-offs, but something that really got my back up at the home leg was a group of lads behind me who all said "I hope they get to Wembley just so I can have a day out". What's that about?

I then get home and look at facebook to see that people who never go to games have taken pictures of themselves on the pitch during the pitch invasion at the end. It's people like that that really get my back up.

Still, they've been given a 40k allocation and I can see them selling 30k at least, i'm sure we'd have been delighted if we'd have took 30k to Millenium Stadium even if 85% of them were bandwaggon jumpers.

True, though Brackley haven't got the glamourous appeal of a wembley trip, just the fact its a promotion final.

Though yes obviously I see people are jumping on the bandwagon and I admit may even be doing that myself at the end of May if Watford who are sort of a family team make it to wembley, though in my defence I'd still like to think I'm not quite a glory-hunter who only shows an interest in their local club when there's a chance of success, as I do always show and interest in how they're doing and occassionally go to the odd game when possible, if Diamonds aren't playing of course. And this is why most clubs will give priority to ST holders and fans that can produce ticket stubs for the big games. But anyway, if I was a Brackley fan, I'd rather a sell out crowd full of glory-hunters, than an embarrassing crowd of 300 and being outnumbered by the away fans, so at least they serve the purpose making it a bigger crowd than usual. And the same for Cobblers, I'd rather 30,000 glory-hunters and filling the allocation, than a small following of the 5,000 hardcore.

I'm the opposite, if I was a Brackley fan I'd much rather be surrounded by the 350 regulars who have always turned up, rather than glory hunters who would spend the whole game saying things like 'What's the name of our number four?' and who, if Brackley lost, would just shrug it off and say 'well at least it was a nice day out'.

Spot on...That's my way of thinking too, but this is the sort of debate that is a circle shape and has no end. At a match a prefer a sing song, and hearing people chat about the match, instead of people asking who that is, and as soon as a goal goes in them wondering who's scored?
If you look around at a play off final there is 15,000 'supporting' a team, jumping up pumping their fists when a goal goes in. It annoys me really because until the end of the season they are nowhere to be seen. Play offs atmospheres are so flat and that's due to people just fancying a day out...

600 regulars at the dog and duck or 15,000 at Wembley, I know which I would prefer!!

...lost today to a very professional Halifax, Jefferson Louis was as bad as he was for Diamonds, such a lazy player, Brackley only came into it once he had gone off the last 10 mins.

2600 there, but I can tell you it was uncomfortable, and that was far two many for the ground.

Halifix fans celebrated like us at spencer, and I think it could have got out of control if it wan't for the stewards.
