If the Wootton results were expunged then we would be second on goal difference ( =60 v. =66) to Sileby. Had they drawn last night we would be 2 points ahead of them. Either way, whether their results are expunged or they finish the season by playing that last match the order of the top 4 will be unchanged.

I think that it's fairly par for the course at this step of the pyramid. Players will move to a different, not necessarily better, club for a fiver extra a week.
The big test will be that if Sileby are in the position of going up from the Prem, will their players decide to make that step up, or stay where they are.
I know that you could counter that our players are playing at a lower level than they could but I believe there are two differences, at most other clubs you will be playing in front ten percent of the numbers we get and long term we will be looking to move, and compete up the ladder.

You have to go back to 2007/8 when Daventry Town won the league by massive 20 points in only a 30 match season to find a team that suffered fewer than our two losses.

Sounds crazy to me to expunge Wootton's record with one game remaining. Far simpler to either leave the game unplayed, which has happened in the past, or award Oadby the 3 points. Either way it doesn't affect the positions of any clubs.

Oadby should be given a walk over since it was not their fault that last night's match was postponed at extremely short notice. UCL must have known about this for a few days at least so crazy to postpone a fixture a few hours before the match was due to be played. What with the fixture list cock ups I'm having serious doubts about the management of the UCL.

Have the UCL come out and said that's the reason why the game was postponed? The Full Time site just lists the match as postponed and there is nothing on the Oadby site.
The source appears to be an Oadby fan claiming that "his mate on the committee" told him so.
It wouldn't surprise if it's all gone ballistic at Oadby and the players refused to play after Harriman walked.

That is what I was told by a Sileby player (that was after he had showed me his winners medal and said how they didn't need a 12th man).

Some of the stuff that has come out from Sileby just shows how sad they truly are. If they had romped away and won the league by a big margin then fair play, make your comments and brag, I would. But the difference was in the end the massive deflected injury time goal at our place. So get real! Also showing your winers medal and making silly quotes about not needing a 12th man is just plain talking bollocks. Would you rather celebrate with hundreds of fans on the pitch in a carnival atmosphere or on your own wandering round a pitch. Then again I'm sure it's not the only thing he does on his own!

Someone tweeted FO diamonds too, I think how you are when you win says a lot about you, we have had a little giggle about stocko having a pop at starms and them celebrating after try won at their place, but I don't think we have gone overboard. Even Botty tweeted players win championships not fans!!
Look forward to playing them again next season wonder if they will beat us this time?
