steve you have my humble apolagies,i do know you do a magnificent job,but you say you bent over to help the diamonds ,that i understand, but my coment was not from a diamonds point of veiw but a parents point of veiw, maybe i shouldnt have posted on the forum but at the point i did i was pretty peeved, having just got in from work,to find the game off, all the lads were massivley up for this game after last weeks result and it would have been nice to put a closure to the season this weekend(from a parents point of veiw ie exams) i feel their reasons as to not having enough players a bit lame (if its what i heared they were on a school trip)they would have known weeks ago about this ,and could have rearanged the game earlier
ill stick by what i said about this should have been sorted sooner and the word shambles maybe was a bit harsh, sorry, but think about it from a parents veiw why would you put yourself about for a possible 60/70 mile round trip at the end of a season, nothing to play for,20 quid of fuel ,4/5 hours of your evening for nothing........i would ,but a lot of parents wouldnt, steve i love you ;) be good to have a chat.last nights game has eased my annoyance as it was a cracking game(and no injuries)
lets hope this game goes ahead, and i have been chating to a few people today and even we cant decide on the best outcome,,,,,,,,,,good luck in whatever decisions you make.
a few of the lads work for the same company(in the evenings)and they had kindly let the boys change shifts to play last night that is why i made the comment

I still think this stinks a little.

If the lad pull of the Victory on Tuesday - now moved again from Monday, they have to play the final playoff on Thursday.

And that after some had already changed work for last Thursday and arrived to be told it was off, so now have to change work for Tuesday.

If Diamonds cant field a full strength team on Tuesday due to commitments, what happens then ?

We'll play the Little Diamonds, they all thought on Saturday that they could run faster than I could kick the ball, and still thought the same after being beaten by the ball twice.

Oxford won't have a chance.

We may have to play all nineteen of them to get the ball up the pitch though and the sand may be a distraction.

Apart from that I can't see what could go wrong

Let's not lose our focus here. It's never been the aim of the youth set up to win things at all cost. Mark's always said it's to develop players in order to move them through to the first team, and next season the U21 side. Should we win tomorrow night, no doubt we'll put our best available team on the pitch for Thursday.
