Agree with you entirely, Piggers. What annoys me, however, are those that because it doesn't bother them, because of their financial circumstances and their disposable income presume that it shouldn't concern some of our other fans who, as you would know may well be struggling in the current financial climate.
I haven't seen anybody suggest that - I certainly wouldn't - and nor would I accuse fellow fans of being stingy. I always trusted that the club board would be working on a solution to the issue (as they've confirmed they were). Those that want to waive any refund can obviously do that, and I don't think stating that they might is an issue either.

I think, Formic, reading a few posts that those that this doesn't bother seem to think others that raise the point are raising an 'issue' and shouldn't rock the boat. Perhaps, this does bother a few and that's why the Duke has received 45 emails.
As I have said, I'm pleased that the club is dealing with it but remember this is a forum where we should be able to discuss sensibly these matters whether this 'issue' or a late kickoff in Merseyside without people being jumped on. ;)

At the risk of repeating myself for the third time, I certainly didn't think that raising a question about refunds was an issue - and I can't see what would have made you think that. I certainly wasn't questioning the essence of the question about refunds - but Ron's approach, as after the Eynesbury game, was rather unorthodox and worthy of comment. That is what a forum is about - and I accept people will jump to the wrong conclusions about certain comments - which is what I think happened here.

No, they were all from members of the board, discussing what we should do about the situation!

Move along folks, nothing to see here ;)
Sensible resolution by the board ( as expected ) and we can now move on - those that need it get their dosh back, those that want to can donate it to the club - all happy !!
Roll on Thursday evening - football returns !!!!
