Ashley Deeney (RB) very slow and flat footed, didn't look that good to me but only first game I guess.

New CD can't remember his name? Looked very ropey, didn't like him struggled to win a header.

Defence for UCL prem worries me if Deakin is our leading CB, defo needs Hopey's support.

Alfie Taylor probably has one good moment a game, not as good as he or everyone else thinks he is, unless he's been carrying an injury for some time? Not involved enough for me.

Like the new target man won everything in the air, will only 'appear' a better player when someone has the footballing brain to run off him.

Aaron King different level. Good aggression but needs to realise that not everyone is looking for a fight!

Wizz and Sean same effort and quality we come to expect.

Ben Morgan should get more game time. He's good enough.

Sounding negative but I don't think we're far off. New CB needed next for me.

Can someone explain what happened with Louis Smith, did we let him go then resign him? Slightly confused as to why he's been announced as a new signing? Looked promising when he came on :)

Overall ok performance no injuries. Pleased for Higham as it obviously meant more to them than it did us.

I can't fault Deakin's display tonight or last season. Decent player for this level scores some important goals. Good player just doesn't lead and command enough for me.

Unfortunately couldn't be there tonight but out of interest how many were there? Great to get the pre season started, hoping to be at Stamford next week.

He was allowed to join Burton Park Wanderers last March to get match time as the UCL do not allow formal loans. Therefore he has now re-signed for us.

It wasn't great.

Considering who great the pitch was when we played there in October it was terrible last night.

The R&H centre halves continued where they left off in trying to kick Alfie off the pitch at every opportunity.

Exactly what I remarked during the match. It seemed rock hard which is understandable given the weather over the last couple of weeks. I guess R & H have no watering facilities or can't afford to water it and are waiting for it to rain. Very difficult to judge our players on that surface but one thing is that Grainger is not the answer on that performance. Demanded the ball but did very little when he got it.

I'm glad you said it.
