The reff did have an absolute shocker of a game and yes he is K*ttering born and bred, but we could and should of been ahead even without the blatant penalty in the first half.
Second half I don't think we did enough, we didn't deserve to lose but our second half performance wasn't good enough.
I don't want to question the management team but I do feel the substitutions should of came a lot earlier, Gearing didn't play anywhere near as well as he has in the previous home games and I think Kingy should of came on a good 10 or 15 mins earlier too, to give them a real chance to make an impact on the game.
Not too downhearted its disappointing but I do think the better teams will all drop points this season unlike last season, most other teams would be more than happy to get 3 points out of 6 from Deeping and Huntingdon away.
Last time we were disappointing we bounced back in style a few days later, lets hope that is the case again at Northwood on saturday!!!

Disappointed yes, concerned no. First half we should have been 2or 3 up and looked good enough to go on and win it. Second half we just stopped playing with cross at fault for the goal. He has to start coming for balls on the 6 yard line. Got away with it first half but he allowed the guy a header that should never have been allowed to have. Seen us against both seeping and Huntingdon and don't see much to worry about. We will finish above both.

Yeah exactly, no reason for knee-jerk reactions like after Eynesbury, it was disappointing but its only one game, they'll bounce back of course and won't lose many matches this season I'm sure. Though absolutely no doubt we've got improving to be done if we are to even think about a second promotion.

As already said, a game of 2 contrasting halves. the 1st half saw us on top and keeping the ball at ground level, we managed to create 4 good chances, and a couple of crosses mixed it up and we had good headerd chances. The 2nd half saw us switch to long-ball thumps and punts upfield and we were absolutely awful at getting to the second ball. We criticised the midfield for not being involved, but when it is bypassed by 60 and 70 yard attemted passes, it takes them out of the game and they become ineffective.
To sum up, we should have been 2 up at half time. we should have had a penalty. we went to sleep when they scored. we tried the long-ball tactic and it is not siuied to how the team like to play. Huntingdon were a decent team at defending. they scored, we didn't. :|

That comment can only mean one of two things. Either you're the ref, or you're blazing some high grade 'erb and I want some.

I think my view was impeded! I was stood to the right of the home dug out and could barely see when we went forward as their management lot were in the way
I stand corrected!! Shocking ref!!

If anybody wants cheering up take a look at Huntingdon's twitter page. Pure quality some of the tweets, they have just won the premier league, champions league and World Cup by beating brazil, Spain, Barcelona and Bayern Munich all rolled into one tonight. I love it when teams do that, makes it so much sweeter at the end of the season when we have dicked them in the return match and finished higher than them.

To be fair we got the ref we deserved on the second half performance, and if we are going to have to rely on penalties while dominating halves then it's going to be a long season.
We conceded a bad goal - again, and there will be times that we don't score the two that we need to win if we are going to keep giving goals away.

It does seem to feel a little like how oadby celebrated their victory now, but lets see how we respond, we are looking for consistency which at the moment we don't have, Colney away we were poor, at home it was the best we have ever played, against sleaford we never got out of second gear by all accounts, and one good half and one poor one last night.
There is a long way to go yet and last season the management got us that consistency.

Disappointed yes very :( as much in the way it came about as the result, clown of a ref, a solid 1st half & we have got used to improvement in the 2nd normally (not the case last night) failure to change things when opposition negated what had worked for us in 1st half. Most of our scoring opportunities came from balls played from deep, yet that got slated in the 2nd  the problem was little movement up top and even less available through the middle. Sean covered miles but didn`t see much of the ball Elliot was a long way from his best, maybe could have had a double change & given Brad & Kingy 30mins. Crossy is a big lad & has to start dominating his area, start playing skittles with opposition and our defenders alike to get to balls, though fair to say one of our 2 central defenders should have attacked the throw last night and got rid of it.
Though some form of prospective may be required. The Management & squad was only assembled 14 months ago and since then

Ashington, Sileby away, Oadby home & Spencer

Scored in every one of the Clubs first 48 competitive matches, went 27 games unbeaten & from that day when Oadby won the league :o & inflicted our last defeat 235 days have passed

not one to swear on public forum but that aint a bad fuc ing effort :!: so lets all cheer up the world did keep turning after 9.34pm last night and the sun did rise again this morning. Some work to be done by Starms & his crew but that`s what they are there for, Northwood 0 AFCR&D 2 and everyone is smiling again.
