Similar match up to the 4-0 home win earlier in the season, where we controlled the match and should have scored more. Nothing learnt from this match but I fear we've seen the last of Lance Allen who was an unused sub as Ben Morgan came on instead of him

We were everything we weren't on Saturday - clinical. Fair play to Sileby, they've got some talented young players and play excellent football, but collectively they're lacking massively in experience.
I have to assume that Lance Allen has beaten up Starms' Granny or something, he must be apoplectic.

To be honest the tweet could be completely innocent on Nats part.
On to the game, Sileby were poor, could and should have been more than 7. That pass from Kingy for Alfie's second?? was sublime.

Fair comment diamondgeezer. I've abused my power and amended our posts. ;)

I felt really bad for Lance, seeing him walk back into the dressing room after the 3rd sub wasn't nice. I'm starting to get a bit pissed off with Starmer TBH, there's no reason not to play him. He would've busted a gut given half an hour in the second half, which was a really boring 45 minutes by the way.
Alfie was my MOTM, deserved two goals and the second was a lovely finish.
I don't care that Aaron King sometimes (1 in 20) scores a worldie, I'd much rather have a solid attacking midfielder that gives a shit for the whole game and someone who doesn't mind passing the ball. His attitude and body language stinks, he loses the ball so often because he feels the need to constantly pirouette, or flick or step over the ball. On one occasion in the second half tonight when he lost the ball and attempted a header it was so half-arsed that everyone just laughed at him.
I know it's bad to complain after a 7-1, but on a night when Spalding showed what clinical and ruthlessness actually is, I think we were found wanting in the manner of our second half performance and the substitutions just annoyed me.

It was pretty much a stroll in the park, it's good to see decent football played in a stadium like theirs.
They provided little pressure and were not very convincing in attack.
3 points for us, I thought Alfie took his goals very well.

You do wonder what Lance has to do, to get a chance to show what he's capable of, if he leaves I won't be happy. We will lose a hell of a player if he continues to be treated the way he is being.
Regarding the team spirit, at half time the subs were having a good laugh with each other.

I was his biggest fan, and it's clear the lad has serious talent, but I'm getting to that stage with him now too.
