Yep. I'll take it, we can go there and win if we play well. We did Northwood last season, so we shouldn't be scared. I'm confident.

R.I.P Dale. We will never forget you.

That was horrible. We were dominated in midfield and allowed Neil King to dictate the game, something that wasn't addressed at any stage.
Anybody know where Adam Confue was today?
Please God don't let us play like that on Tuesday, I can't take it.

I heard someone say that Confue was ill today, no idea how accurate that actually is.

Think we went 4-5-1 to try and stop them running midfield, Greg Ling playing off Dunks with Faz on the wing. However Ling just seemed to watch King pulling the strings instead of doing anything to stop it.

I thought we would turn them over at home. Our 1st replay away, at least it isn't far to go, but, we will have to play much better than the poor display today. Too indecisive in midfield and a little wary when they had the ball, we didn't shut them down quick enough.Bob's Bitch wrote:Yep. I'll take it, we can go there and win if we play well. That is correct. Parky also suffered a nasty finger injuryBasil wrote:I heard someone say that Confue was ill today, no idea how accurate that actually is.

I don't know what the situation is with Séan McBride, but we could have done with him on the bench today - and with Confue ill and Bunting seeming to still be injury prone we are looking rather threadbare in midfield. With various holiday commitments and a suspension coming up, as well as the injuries to Parky and Jamal, I hope Mark Hewitt and Joe Merrill aren't too far away from a return either, We looked better with Sam Brown as a conventional full-back, and perhaps we'd be better balanced with Merrill on the right.

Disappointing performance today, we can do much better than that. But sheer doggedness got us back into the game and anything can happen now,.....and probably will.
We are used to bossing games but we came up against a team from a higher league and a manager who feels he has something to prove after last seasons two humiliating defeats. No doubting Bedford had the better of the game but they will be kicking themselves they let it slip from their grasp.
Bound to be a couple of changes on Tuesday and we will be raring to go again.
Real shame about Parky, do hope it is not too serious.....was he listening to Radio Diamonds on his way to hospital!!!
Also shame that Bostons win over Holbeach was not a UCL match. They also play again on Tuesday this time for points.

A dog of a game. In the end Gearing gave us a get out of jail free card which we barely deserved.
On the plus side we've played terribly against a higher league side, all arguments about step 5 players in a step 4 team, and still got a result.
Roll on Tuesday.
