I think we must focus on the Thurnby game rather than looking ahead too far to the Holbeach game. Like us, Thurnby have scored 23 goals in their previous four games, so our defence will need to be on top form.
7 of their 9 games have been at home - 1 win and 1 defeat in their 2 away games, scoring 3 and conceding 2 - I'd hope we would have enough to see them off on Saturday, but you're right, we can't afford to slip up against what will be a tough side.

I must have been watching a different game to most on here as I thought the first half was a good tussle. Lots of endeavour, lots of pace, a few mistakes on both sides and a few chances. Second half we played superb for around 25 minutes, got some cracking goals then sat back a bit. Definite improvement from Saturday and a good win. Attendance wise I feared worse than we got so thought it was ok in the end, and our enthusiasm should generate a bigger turn out for next Saturday.

Think you must have been, or have you joined the ever increasing band of Diamonds fans who start the evening by going to the wrong ground :?
Can see where your coming from but for me the reason it was a half decent contest in the first half was more down to us not being totally on it. As soon as we started to move the ball quicker and up the tempo of the match they were chasing shadows in the main, though to be fair to them they are a half decent side who may well take points off others at the top, and the way we played and took those chances created for most of the 2nd half we would have pulled most teams in this league apart.
Hope JM is ok, not sure what the Ref saw, but to me it looked like he had cleared the ball and the Desborough player took a right cheep shot launching himself into a prone player with feet and knees at the fore. But them Faz was assaulted in front of the stand and Ref saw it as warranting no more than a polite talking to.

Against the better sides, we could have been 1 or 2 down at half time. Too many stray passes that were not capitalised on by Desborough. So much better in the second half, thought the wingers played higher with Dunks and Turner providing more width and it worked a treat. Very enjoyable watch in the second half.

325 given out on twitter - either way not impressive for a top 3 side (sounds good to say that) :)
Still 11 more than the corresponding Tuesday last season when we lost to PNS, ;) however the fare on offer really is deserving of an attendance far greater. Perhaps many folk, nowadays, with work, family and other evening commitments have difficulty attending Tuesday night fixtures. The same always applied with RDFC.

If anyone saw the photo that Jake Newman posted up on Twitter on Saturday evening of the Thurnby playing surface then you could only draw the conclusion that this gives them a distinct home advantage.
I don't think I've seen a worse playing surface, it made Yaxley's look like a carpet  , the grass was long and there were pot holes all over it which made it look like a cow pasture. A thorough disgrace for Step 5 football.

Another good team performance by the Diamonds, Elliot had another good game.

We need to take it one game at a time, (3 points at a time) before we can think about Holbeach game.

Slightly disappointed with attendance. Should be a good attendance game against Holbeach.

Only if the locals in Northamptonshire decide to attend. Don't think the Holbeach 'massive' travel. They think the world ends at Spalding. :D
