I can't totally agree on the officials. I stood on Dale's Bar side for the second half and the lino was so far behind play it was embarrassing.

Is that necessarily a bad thing? Turner hasn't been firing for a while now. For me you've got to go with the man in form for this occasion.Formic wrote:Whilst I agree Dunks should start, especially if Lorraine is injured, he and Joseph haven't played together much (I don't think they've both started the same game), so the Dunkley / Turner partnership might be preferable to start with.BartonRaz wrote:Great performance today, especially the second half which was just wave after wave of attack and great to watch. Definitely ELJ for MOM, but Sleaford's left back was absolutely horrendous.
Good to see Scott Joseph stick a couple away, two great finishes too. He's playing himself into form at the right time and should start next week alongside Dunkley. DUNKS MUST START AT HOLBEACH. With ELJ and Rogers whipping some great balls in as they did today it's imperative we have him in the middle.
I'm having a bit of deja vu here. As I recall last time we played Holbeach we were all screaming for Turner to start as he was in decent form, but that didn't happen and many people thought we'd shot ourselves in the foot by playing Lorraine instead. Similar scenario here but with a different player.
They say we've lost our money we're not famous anymore.....

He did appear to be going deep into his shorts pocket and I feared the worse although we later came to the conclusion that, perhaps, he was just having a good scratch.Formic wrote:.....with the Sleaford players calling for a red card (and the ref did appear to be going for a card at one point).

For me Joseph's not a 90 minute player yet. He faded as the game went on yesterday and that was 70 mins.
Is Dunkjs fit to start? Obviously he is but the question is how long has he got in him after so long out?
Personally I'd rather have him on the bench ready to come on against tiring defenders rather than have to take him off with half an hour to go and the game in the balance.
Turner and Lorraine have more than enough to give their defence a torrid afternoon.

That's one of things that frustrates me at times that we struggle to beat some of these teams with awful players. Said player played left wing for Holbeach last season and I thought then, how the f*** do you play UCL Prem? I'm sure they've replaced him with a better player this seasonBartonRaz wrote:. Mal's pics are added to Adam B's match report - http://www.afcdiamonds.com/afc-rushden- ... ord-town-0 There are a similar number of excellent goalmouth scramble pics to those from the Harborough game.
