I thought Wellingborough were poor, and agree that the lady ref had a good game.

Given the No 5 complained about everything all afternoon I'm entering the above in the "daft quotes of the season competition" :lol:SouthRushdenJFC wrote:It could have easily been 10-0 and they would have no complaints.

Getting injured was the only way he was going to get any applause though wasn't it? ;)Brownie wrote:Given the No 5 complained about everything all afternoon I'm entering the above in the "daft quotes of the season competition" :lol:SouthRushdenJFC wrote:It could have easily been 10-0 and they would have no complaints.
Joking aside, glad to hear the injury wasn't as bad as he first thought!
We looked every inch Champions yesterday and the way our defence snuffed out the leagues top one footed striker showed how good they are!
A top performance which if they put in another like it on Tuesday will see us crowned Champions - anyone buying some bubbly??? ;)

Bunts has come good at a critical time, had a nightmare time with injuries but just when we needed him he's come good and dominated the middle of the park for the past 5 games. Tom L may have found a new (his best) position and Tommy B was superb again, movement across the front line creating so much space for others, yes he would love to be getting on the scoresheet more but if what he does creates opportunities for others who cares, well other than him but sure next season he'll be providing and scoring.fentiger79 wrote:I agree, bunting has been great over the past few weeks. And what about Mary!! As good as any Ref we've seen this season, didn't take any notice of the crap from Rich & Ainsley which was constant, other than politely confirm her decisions. Unlike many over the past 3 seasons rather than being affected by or playing up to a bigger crowd than normally officiated in front of she genuinely looked to be in control & enjoying the afternoon. Sure she is destined for much higher things, which sadly will mean we may not see much of her again and can look forward to the normal dross we have come to expect. Still at least with Wilson on the line you can always find out how K*ttering are doing.

Mary was awesome, by far the best referee we have had all season

I'll second that - he has been a key player in the past few weeks. When Neil King arrived I thought it might be a sign we'd accepted Bunts' injury troubles would affect him for the remainder of the season - but he's proven me wrong with some excellent performances.fentiger79 wrote:I agree, bunting has been great over the past few weeks. Re the Bubbly - good suggestion of yours and since you won £10 on the club lottery we'll all look forward to enjoying a drink on you. Cheers mate!
