I reckon Justin has made one bad signing at this football club in a season and a bit, that being Danny Mills from P'boro, and he didnt last 5 minutes.

I reckon the chances are high we might have a decent player on our hands.

IMO most of the players JE has signed have been farily unproven players. Players like O'Connor, Louis & Porter have come from teams around us, with no big reputation attached, but Justin has them all playing their roles within a successful and overachieving team.

I don't think JE would go out and sign a player for the sake of it, he obviously sees something in Thomas's play that he feels will benefit our squad

and he can be excused for that, cause you would have thought a player dropping down three divisions would be able to do a job!

I don't think Jack Ainsley was exactly a great signing. Think he only made one first team appearance and then Keano had a go at Justin for not playing him enough and promised not to send any more players to us.

Ainsley and Mills may not have really contributed much, but they were just brought in as cover, and in their few minutes on the pitch neither of them really let us down. I thought Ainsley did OK in his 45 minutes against York, and despite missing a sitter against Hinckley, Mills actually looked quite promising on his debut up at Workington, and it was his good work that led to our all important second goal. I certainly wouldn't call either of them 'bad' signings.

Just had a quick butchers at the D&R forum.

Some mixed reviews on the lad, some saying its a bad decison to let him go, others seem to think its a good one.

One thing that keeps being mentioned though is his pace.

I wouldn't call Ainsley a bad signing, purely because he played 45 mins. Can't judge a player on that.

Whenever i saw Mills he was absolutely shocking. I remember a 1 on 1 he had against someone that almost hit the corner flag.

Yep let's write off a player from the division above before he even pulls on the shirt.

How can you write off a player when he hasnt played for you yet? What i was saying was....we prob have the same calibre of striker already...if he was any good he wouldnt be coming down the league would he, they would have him playing.
Saying that, playing lower league football well may be the making of him, he will feel more comfort, less stress to play out of his limits, whatever.....i dont know he hasnt played with us yet ! Do you know? Theres a number of players who have dropped back down a level and doing ok.....but like i said we already have players of that cailbre

Very difficult to form a judgement on a player that probably nobody that posts on this message board has seen play.
Let's face it Akrang has lost his way, O'Connor is a bit off the pace at present and Smith hasn't had much match practice but seems to struggle when he does make a cameo appearance.

I suggest we all reserve comment on Thomas's ability until he has been given a chance in a Diamonds shirt. ;)
