Re: A total disgrace......
I didn't hang around after the final whistle and leaving the PDB terrace personally didn't hear any booing. There were a few negative comments during the match, from voices that havn't been regular supporters this season, aimed in particular at Louis and Huke during the second half possibly because we weren't able to threaten Jordan in the Crawley goal who was well protected by his big burly central defenders.
Make no mistake Fatboy Evans and his team are no pushovers. They came here to secure a point, by whatever means, and I think our last few performances coupled with a very soft heavy pitch not suited to a short passing game caught up with us last night and meant that we were a tad leggy and never on the front foot and a draw in the final analysis was a fair result in my opinion.
Hey we didn't lose did we? ;)
I sincerely hope the management and players don't for one minute think that the regular supporters were on their backs and perhaps someone in authority reading this message board can convey this view to them.
Onwards and upwards. Let's stuff those plonkers from Kiddy on Monday. ;)

Formic or Mad Dog, I'm nominating either of you to pass on this thread to the Club. Thanks! SS
Re: A total disgrace......
I was disgraced by the booing and it seemed to me that it was aimed at our players, who then didn't want to come over to the fans to clap which they have done all season. players looked dishearted and that can't be good. they worked their socks off for a well earnt point against a inform and very hard to beat crawley team.
People can not expect us to win 8-0 3-0 6-1 every game, it's been a long old slog with a small squad and it seem to have caught up with us a little, players starting to get niggles and injuries so lets get behind this team that for 1 have done me proud this season.

I must admit from the South stand the booing was very short lived and I wasn't sure who it was aimed at. Both the ref and the opposition warranted it but I am afriad when you have a coach like Paul Raynor on the opposition's bench it is to be expected. Following the Diamonds we have come across him many a time, K*trin, Boston, remember Ilkeston in the cup and when he was a player he always used every trick in the book to con the ref or start an arguement. So I expect the team he coaches to be no different.

Re: A total disgrace......
I noticed the boos as I was walking out of the ground, but they werent that bad to be honest, although disappointed that the team were booed, as they didn't deserve it.
Hopefully it was aimed at the Referee or Crawley, the referee really doesn't seem to like us, is he a closet K*ttering fan? Always had to be centre of attention, never played advantage, possibly the worst referee i've ever seen at Nene Park.
Had to laugh at his quote on his National Group Assistant Profile...

What are your aims as a National List Assistant Referee?
My aim as a National List Assistant Referee is to perform to the best of my ability in every game that I officiate, and to consistently produce high quality performances that I hope would lead to future consideration for promotions and appointments to notable games.

Re: A total disgrace......
Obviously the De Banke was more crowded last night which was great to see!
However I heard lots and lots of moaning and jeering when passes/crosses went astray from voices that I haven't heard all season! I am pleased to see so many fans coming back to the club. The club needs as many fans as possible but please appreciate that we don't have the luxury of players like Underwood/Hall/Lowe etc. We do have a group of (mostly) young players who are working hard for each other and playing attractive football game in game out. They deserve patience and support and have rewarded that this season with some superb displays.
Last night was an off night. Unfortunately Crawley are one of those horrible teams to play against whose game plan is more about trying to disrupt the other team than creating anything themselves. I have no doubt that returning fans will be treated to some excellant displays of 'sexy football'. Lets all get behind the team. I have no doubt the fans can influence the team. Did anyone else see Shane Huke cut back inside instead of crossing the ball in from a similar area where he'd just attempted to cross the ball from a couple of minutes earlier? How much do you think the crowds reaction to his previous effort had when he decided not to take what surely must have been the 1st option in this passage of play? Positivity breeds confidence, and confidence is what this team needs if they are going to succeed in beating any of the teams that we meet if we make the playoffs (not saying when until it's all confirmed ;)).
Come On You Whites!

Re: A total disgrace......
I havent read all this thread yet as this is the first time i've been on since Friday morning, but what a total and utter disgrace the booing was 3 games in 6 days is going to take it out of any team so credit where credit is due we didnt lose while we wasnt playing that good which is a good thing. The only reason i can think of for people booing is that there was 1700ish home fans at xmas there was 800ish home fans, alot of old faces was there on friday night and the only thing i can think of it that is must have been some of them, because no real fan that has been too most of the games and not just coming to watch us once we start doing well would even think about booing us after the amazing season we are having.Pathetic!!!
