I'll probably be there again. It was 10am- 2pm last weekend and clearing weeds out of where the block paving meets the kerbs. I found a hoe to be good at it, but any sharp instrument might be ok. Also bring a yard brush and a dustpan and brush/ or shovel. Bin bags provided. If it's raining, then it'll most likely be rubbing down the paintwork in the stadium, so bring a 2" brush just in case there's painting to be done.
Please also bring a camera phone, just in case the Nene Park ghost decides to show up (really!).

I suggest giving Glenis a call to let her know your going, she'll tell you what needs doing and what to bring. I haven't got her number to hand, but I'm sure it's on the OWS.
Bit late response - but the number was in the first post of the thread.

We will start Seat Cleaning - from Monday.

Seat Cleaning - Volunteers Required
Posted on: Fri 11 Jun 2010

We know that time is precious to everyone but would appreciate it if as many of you as possible could find even just 1 hour to help out so that we can bring this fantastic facility of ours up to the standard we pride ourselves on.

Starting on Monday 14th June we will be seat cleaning in the Air Wair Stand.

Would all volunteers please bring with them a pair of gloves and any old rags which can be used to clean the seats with.

Our Volunteer Co-Ordinator Glenis will be here most weekdays from 6:30pm to 9:00pm and weekends 10am to 2:00pm - and volunteers are welcome to come along. -

You can either email Glenis at glenis30@supanet.com
or Phone on 07870 332606 (leave a message if not available)
To let Glenis know your attendance

Or just turn up at the door on the South/West corner of the stadium (between the De Banke and the Diamond Centre) - Ring the doorbell a couple of times for attention if nobody is about.

Most of the airwair is now completed for the seat polishing (end section to be done, once jet washing finished). Side stands still to be done.

Great effort! I shall be along one morning over the weekend to help with the next section.

You don't realise what a difference it makes until you see the clean seats next to the dirty ones from a distance!

According to the Diamond Diary on the OWS for July it's still going on.

It's very much still in progress! The Airwair is complete and the South Stand is now being cleaned, but there is still the North Stand to do and I'm sure there's plenty more gardening work.

WELL DONE to Glenis and her handful of volunteers in completing the seat cleaning and even doing all the railings in the debanke this evening .There is still plenty to do ,more painting in the airwair and even the seats at pitch 2 so get along and help even just for 1 hour it all adds up .
Well done to those who have helped so far.
