The reality is that we probably need to gain only 6 points from our remaining 4 games and if that happens Alvechurch would need to get maximum points from their 4 games to pip us to 5th place. OK so they narrowly won last Saturday but does anyone seriously think that they will win all their remaining games based on their recent form? Where would you rather be presently in their situation or in our situation where it is in our own hands? I think we’ve done well under Burge’s interim management incurring only a narrow solitary defeat to Peterborough Sports through a late winner.
I do not subscribe to the theory that any of the clubs will have nothing to play for as players generally will want to win for their own pride and to impress their management for next season.

It does still leave Alvechurchs other opponents to give 100 %. Past experience tells us that once Champs crowned however unintentionally they do drop off in intensity. At the end of the day we just have to win 2 or 3 games, it still in our hands. Congrats to the worthy champs I am sure they will be even better having Snedker in their ranks next season.
Given Jack has been at Banbury since he was about 7 and has been exceptional all season I doubt your keeper will be the 1st on the (can we sign them list) and please try not to get to bitter about players being approached by another fan owned but possibly more ambitious Club and remember as many Ex Puritans this season played for Diamonds as the other way.
Hopefully see you all at the playoffs.

I don’t think Banbury will be after any of our players, they have clearly assembled and what has proved to be the best squad this season and are absolutely worthy winners. Great that they have lived within their means as we have as well.
If anything now the league is in the back pocket they can and express themselves more so am sure they won’t be easing up.
It’s going to be an exciting end to the season!

Wish I had your confidence on this. Despite what Brownie says above I'll be stunned if Banbury don't come in for Snedker. Our chances of keeping him presumably rest solely on whether we go up or not.
They say we've lost our money we're not famous anymore.....

I wouldn’t rule out Peterborough Sports either being interested. After last night’s results it looks as if they might get a home tie in the semi-final as Rushall seem to be stuttering having lost 6 of their last 7 matches. I see that Andy Burgess was in attendance at Coalville last evening clearly observing from Royston’s winning performance how we can beat them this Saturday.

I hope that is some type of joke between friends. I may not be Brownies best friend but I must defend him (he will probably say he is well capable of defending himself). That comment is well out of order. Obviously he now spends a lot of his time following Banbury and is entitled to respond in this way as he on this occasion is absolutely correct. Just hope they do the same to Alvechurch next Monday.

JG's goal made #1 in the VEO grassroots goal of the week last week, just ahead of Tamworth.
