You think Burgess is happy with his squad right now?
I have no idea who he has been chasing but feel certain there is lots going on behind the scenes we don’t know about.

Whilst I get a lot of what is being said I think we do need to take a step back and pause for a moment. Clearly we know we need a striker but it’s like we are saying the manager who has okayed professional football for many years, has been coaching up and down this country doesn’t see. That’s just crazy. Of course he sees it and I bet there has not been a day goes by where Burge isn’t trying to get one in. I tried to think who I would want to sign to fill that gap and after taking into account all the factors you are left with nobody obvious. Yes, we would like a Deacon, Graham, Smith type player but that’s going to be unlikely due to the clubs they are at and then the travel/cost/getting to training stumbling block. And just because we want someone doesn’t mean we will get them. The player may be very happy where they are, doesn’t want to travel an hour each way on a Tuesday and Thursday for training etc etc. however if Burge is able to get someone of Tee’s quality to join using his contacts I do have confidence he can get a striker over the line.
Agree on some of this, but how long has it been since Graham left? There’s been plenty of time now, but the solution was to sign 2 really young strikers? Was he banking on one of them to start performing? There’s plenty of money to get someone in. If Stratford can bring in someone like Adam Rooney, we can definitely do the same
You don’t seriously think Burgess, who has worked in football all his life, isn't aware of the importance of experience in a squad?
I think we have a fair amount of experience in the team. Sneds Hicks Hughes Pads Jesse the 2 Connors all have significant experience at step 3 . Plus Fossens European experience & Evans winning step 4 with Canvey last year
. The problem seems that as a team we don't know how to use it & when to use it to our advantage. An example. 2nd half Against Hitchin we started much the better team so they changed tactics to start falling over when we got near them to break up our rhythm. . Fans saw it but unfortunately neither the bench or team did??

like it's been touched on before, there was a period around September and October when the results and performances were pretty dire and it looked like a change of management with new ideas seemed like a good way forward for most. However, the club stuck with them and they turned it around, with a couple of shrewd signings. Something they did before in previous seasons and they ended up leaving of their own accord for pastures new. So whether or not people were calling for his head, our hand was forced to bring in a new regime. Burgess may well be the man to get it right, given time. But I do fear we may have to go backwards to go forwards, for him to get it right

Peaksy had about 10 years worth of credit built up! So of course he was given extra time to sort things out when going got tough. But it was still shit football with shit results, we had right of it to moan!
Burg transfer plans are clear. focused on youth, which is why they were the first players in and squad so much younger than the rest in the league. Whole league of players experienced at this level and how many months since we didn’t get graham, we’ve been standing johnson in hand. should have experienced spine in place first and fourmost, build around that. Not sure AB has the contacts. I remember few people on here who thought they were funny saying peaksy didn’t

If he has the contacts but is signing a Connor Tee type player over an experienced striker we definitely need then I have bigger questions. Connor tee is great player, but not the number 1 thing we NEED. So why are we not doing so, financially we can unless board have put a limit on what is spent player lottery is coffers are ripe, no striker with experience in this league wants to play or train in this area, contacts issue? I just want to know why we have waited so long on this

This! The bloke played Div 3 in Sweden or where ever he played. Can't be much better than UCL Div 1 in all honesty!
