It does seem odd that they haven't imposed any kind of deadline regarding the change of ownership. Although the CVA might have been agreed in principle, there is still no confirmation that shares have been transferred, or the lease agreement assigned to anybody other than Ladak.

It seems to be a case of Southern League chairman fancying being wined and dined in the opulence of Nene Park, without thinking of the risks to their league if KTFC don't last until XMAS - or become homeless during the winter months.

The appointment of John Beck reminds me of this match report from when we played Histon. Was he still around them then?

http://www.thediamondsfc.com/page/Match ... 20,00.html

"Perhaps the action was summed up by two incidents involving home keeper Naisbitt - the first when he was called upon to take a free kick 10 yards inside the Diamonds half to allow the other 21 players to occupy the Diamonds penalty box, and then when he took his sweeper role so seriously he ended up playing in a midfield role in the centre circle during open play."

 Awesome.

He was number 2 to Steve Fallon at that time but called all the shots regarding tactics and was the most vocal on the touchline.
As a manager he has only been in charge for a few months since 2001.

Thanks Rob. I really didn't like Histon, and reporting from there was one of the worst challenges, so I might have reflected that in the reports - I also started the report with "The Diamonds picked up another away draw, and their first point against Histon, in what was a truly awful spectacle in Cambridgeshire. The Diamonds adopted the tactics necessary to match the game played by their hosts, and so the ball was in the air for much of the game, with neither side having it under close control. The Diamonds can take credit for holding a team challenging for a playoff position to a goalless draw, but few would have been entertained by such a contradiction to the philosophy of the "beautiful game"."

I wonder how many 6 foot six players with double-barrelled names Beck will sign?

A similar number to those who can throw the ball 35 yards or more. ;)

Seriously?!

Did the interviewer mention we've got a new club to him?

Also, 2 quotes stand out for me

"We will get into the Football League with this set-up."

"We want to try to play fast, furious, attractive, attacking football."

Seems like Mr Beck is a comedian
