I see plaguarism is still rife in the Official "Poppyinfo" channel, with an appeal for a mascot shamelessly copied from Partick Thistle -

Having been away for the past week or so, I expected there to be some news on the discussions they've been having with the FA regarding their proposed new chairperson. It appears there's been nothing approved - and total quiet on that front from the club or their trust.
That seems to suggest there is a big announcement being ratified behind the scenes - whether good or bad news. I wonder if the Southern League are monitoring the situation, with reference to the Conference about their experiences with Chester City.

I see on their forum they are practically frothing at the mouth after they beat an under 21 Stoke City side (including Jermaine Pennant)
Can't wait until they come back down to earth, and realise they won't walk the southern league, like so many of their deluded supporters think they will!!!

Knowing the F.A. they will know doubt sanction Mrs Rolls appointment as Chairperson even though they banned Sausage from having any influence at Nene Park, its the sort of strange and crazy decision that the F.A. are good at.

I see they are advertising for both a Football Development Officer and a Community Officer, not sure where they are getting the money from to pay for both......
Also saw John Beck at Dunstable Town v Luton Town Res last night, think he's getting desperate to source players.

They've had some decent friendly results. They beat a decent looking Cogenhoe side 5-0 (Cobblers could only manage 4), and beat a Stoke side 3-0 that Corby could only draw 1-1 with.
Still, not quite AFC R&D 4-0 Peterborough. ;)

Attendance at NP for the Stoke friendly was 210 and that was with the attraction of a beer festival. Oh dear.

Apparently MK Dongs boss nearly called off their friendly today when he saw the state of the pitch. Final score was 0-0.
