Re: Crawley Thread
I wasn't at the game but losing 4-0 makes it seem obvious the players couldn't be bothered today, hence why I couldn't be bothered to spend a chunk of money and a day to go and watch them waste all the fans time.
I massively respect everyone that went. Going to every game in a promotion hunt isn't 'diehard', going to the champions when theres nothing to play for is proper 'diehard' haha!

Re: Crawley Thread
So losing against the team that ran away with the league with 100 times the budget of everyone else, with the best starting X1 by a mile in this division with 10 men from the start of the first half is the team showing a lack of effort? I'd say up against it personally. Why don't you go in the dressing room and tell the players they lacked the effort today? You were not at the game so could not possibly comment. Fool.

I was there today and I can tell you now that the effort put in was 110%, especially when we went down to 10. We matched Crawley in parts of that game today. Diabolical refereeing and mistakes cost us today, not lack of effort. You have no right to say the players could not be bothered.

Well I was there today and I don't think the players commitment can be questioned, what so ever. We all knew when Millsy got sent that it was going to be a difficult afternoon, but for the entirety of the first half Crawley actually created very little. The players battled superbly, Porter in particularly was typically industrious and Jamie Day threw himself in front of everything. In the end they wore us down and took their chances as one would expect a team worth nearly £500,000 to do.Oundle Diamond #2 wrote:I wasn't at the game but losing 4-0 makes it seem obvious the players couldn't be bothered today, hence why I couldn't be bothered to spend a chunk of money and a day to go and watch them waste all the fans time.

We lost 4-0. I maintain my personal belief if we were challenging for something there's no way we would have lost 4-0 but fair enough guys, if you were there and think they put in 110%, I can't argue with that.

Ok, fair play, I wasn't there so I take it back. 10 v 10, without Tubbs would have been totally different :evil:Mad Dog wrote:Not when you're dealing with one of the most biased refs on the planet. The bastard gave little our way. Tubbs kicked out at Mills and received nothing (it should have been 10 v 10). Porter's second booking is a disgrace when you consider one of their players did a similar thing and received nothing.DiamondEejit wrote:Going down to 9 men is shameful

No worries. You've just echoed the thoughts I had everytime he scored. He shouldn't have been on the pitch, even Crawley fans* were saying so on the way out.DiamondEejit wrote: Ok, fair play, I wasn't there so I take it back. 10 v 10, without Tubbs would have been totally different
Prior to the goal, we pretty much shut them down with 10 men as well.

Crawley's fans make Burton Albion's fans seems loud! The most deserved champions, playing-wise, of recent seasons, but a club that will sink and die when the money runs out...and it always does.

Okay, I want you to go through every post before I made before I said about the lack of effort, and find any post which mentionned the fact that we put maximum effort in. No-one had said that so I made an assumption. That may have been proven wrong later , but I wasn't arguing was I? I'm not disputing anyone who was at the game once corrected as I wasn't there. :lol:wewantourdarbyback wrote:You just did...Oundle Diamond #2 wrote:We lost 4-0.
