Christ on a bike.
That is bloody amazing - how long will it last? What will be the first home attendance? 500?

Think i'll be in the "away end" when they play AFC Telford this year while i'm a nomading before the Phoenix side get playing.

Anybody want to join? Would be interesting to get a small band of AFC Rushden Fans promoting the new club around NP? ;)

I've got this image of an AFC Rushden & Diamonds banner being unfurled in the away end to remind everyone at Nene Park that we're still here.

What a strange game that will be; neither deserve to play there.

NP is unsustainable on crowds of less than 2,000. 1,800 to break even according to Helen? Poppies in NP will never get that.
I wasn't at Thursday's meeting but had it confirmed to me yesterday by someone that was in attendance that KC said that the Ploppies would only hire the pitch (stands and terrace), therefore they wouldn't be tenants for the full complex. If so, they may survive on attendances below the 1800 figure.

Makes me think that KC was purposely not giving a shit about sponsors and sweating the facilities in the last few years.
It's taken a long time for some people to realise this!! Where do you think the Beasants learned the trick of not paying bills until the last red reminder, or in the latter months, not at all. Several fund raising attempts - last year's beer festival for example - were sabotaged by KC not having paid utilities bills.
