Re: Breaking News - Appeal to Conference
I presume the £20k is legal fees etc, not a payment to the Conference, thats what I thought KC meant. I'm just tired of all the games now.

Re: Breaking News - Appeal to Conference
KC has lodged the appeal as K*ttering have decided thye don't want to play at Nene Park now, apparently their fan can't throw bricks high enough to get to the away fans...
Re: Breaking News - Appeal to Conference
Were you at the fans forum? Cause coming out of that, it was pretty clear that only a miracle can save RDFC now and were told that even if we can appeal there's little point, which is why most of us have moved on and have started thinking about the phoenix club.ron manager wrote:Good grief, wouldn't want you guys along side me in the trenches, fight to the end is what I say.

Re: Breaking News - Appeal to Conference
How can the Club appeal when Dennis Strudwick, the Conference's General Manger, said in his recent communication to Steve Beasant that 'it was the end of the matter'. Surely if the Club was able to appeal the board's decision then he would been obliged to have put that in his communication?
Mind you, the Conference's management/board havn't exactly got a good track record in the past so nothing would surprise me with that lot to get things wrong.

The Ploppies fans won't like it when they find out they'll have to pay the same price to stand as away fans do to sit.lost sparkle wrote:KC has lodged the appeal as K*ttering have decided thye don't want to play at Nene Park now, apparently their fan can't throw bricks high enough to get to the away fans...

Re: Breaking News - Appeal to Conference
I believe the first official statement made by the Conference stated that we had 14 days to appeal, they can't suddenly back track on that, surely? They probably panicked when they heard the club/KC was considering an appeal and quickly issued a letter saying that was the end of the matter.Trek wrote:How can the Club appeal when Dennis Strudwick, the Conference's General Manger, said in his recent communication to Steve Beasant that 'it was the end of the matter'. As you say, the Conference board are only marginally less incompetent than the Beasants.

I agree with Dave. Even though they say it is the end of the matter the law would still allow an appeal if the rules say you can appeal or if those rules have not been interpreted properly. The latter seems to be certain from what everyone states.
You also see all the time that injunctions are put in place preventing businesses carrying out certain activities whilst a dispute is in place. Perhaps they can halt the expulsion whilst they carry out an expidited appeal. I am sure the registration matters could also be addressed at the same time.
I am not hopeful but if there is a slight chance Diamonds will still be around next year then I will take it.
Perhaps KC has found a softer side after the forum and realised where his true allegiance should lay and it is not North of Irthlingborough!
