Re: Members Forum
sorry to be "technologically challenged", but exactly what is the "username"? Is the our email address that we originally registered with (and the password we received with that?), if so then the box doesn't allow enough characters to put the email address in.
AFC R & D member number 34

Re: Members Forum
I've not registered yet, but when I do I think I'll just put my username as Jim51 - my first name and my membership number. Its what you want to be known as Robin - providing its not more than 10 characters long.

51? Is that not your age?
I can't get in, never have been able to no matter how many times it asks me to log in. Now there is an internal server error. I give up.
You're knocked out with who I am,
Look at you now, you're all in my hands.

Re: Members Forum
There are a few teething problems with the members area which, all being well, will be sorted out today. Just to confirm, the steps you need to take in order to login to the members area of the website are as follows :
- go to http://www.afcdiamonds.com
- click on the 'members area' link on the menu bar
- click 'register', choose a username and input your membership details. You MUST enter the email address you used when you completed your membership application.
- you will then be sent by email a randomly generated password
- using that password, log in to the members area where you can change your password if you want to
The members only forum is entirely different and, once it goes live, you will need to register on it before you can use or view it. Registering for the members area only will not get you access to the forum.
I hope that's clear but if you are still having problems please e-mail membership@afcdiamonds.com and someone will get back to you (but as always, please remember that we have jobs and a family too)

Re: Members Forum
This seems an excellent idea, as it will allow members to be involved with "business sensitive" discussions that would normally be kept between a few board members of a business - as of course in this instance the members have far more say in the running of the "business".
It will also help those of us who live outside of Northants to keep in touch with what is going on with the new club.
Hopefully it will be in complete contrast to the closed shop / secret society way the original RDST was run - despite the fact that on several occasions the members showed they could keep things confidential when told them in the Trust / Fans meetings.
Are we to expect a "official" report on this week's meeting to appear in the members area, or will it be a question of asking questions in the forum area? Hopefully it will be the former, as I've seen many occasions where different people have come away from the same meeting with different impressions of what was said.
